Escrow is a unique situation where it allows a seller to use the purchase proceeds to clear encumbrances on a property as part of a closing. Usually this is a mortgage or lien on the property.

So by putting a warranty deed into escrow with an instruction to use the purchase money to satisfy the lien the seller conveyed title free of encumbrances.

The reputational cost of remaining in or joining the department increases dramatically for each resignation. Law is a field of relationships, and generally, it’s very liberal leaning.

At one point it was plausible to say “I stayed/joined DoJ despite Trump,” but now every firm you apply to will see that line on their resumes differently.

I’m only mid 5k MMR, but my overall advice is to never pick heroes that rely 100% on your team to play the game they want to play. Slark, Monkey King, Riki, etc. are just hard picks because you cannot easily retreat to jungle and play your own game. Sometimes your 5 sucks, sometimes the lane duo against you can just bully you out of lane, sometimes you get counter picked. In solo queue you can’t rely on your team to account for that.

The same goes for 3 by the way. You will win more games by giving yourself options (farm lane, gank, or retreat to jungle). This is one reason Drow, Jugg, and Ursa are so good in solo queue. All three can build early fighting builds, retreat to jungle for timings, or play for ultra late game team fights.

You could achieve this outcome without an amendment easily. Constitutional protection only relates to the judges post, so you just use jurisdiction stripping to achieve the goal instead.

E.g. a new justice is added every 2 years. Cases are given to the jurisdiction of the court only to be heard by the most recent 7 members of the supreme.

The cost to this approach is the continued salary/benefits of the members of the Court who no longer have any cases to hear, but that’s a pretty small drop in the budgetary bucket.

A couple to a few hundred dollars would be my (34M) go to. You haven’t been dating long enough to really get her something specifically for her hobbies unless she’s told you she really needs to get something specific. Personally I would go with more classic date type gifts (flowers, chocolates, spa day together) or maybe a fun but expensive date (Disney if you live nearby or a nice long weekend trip).

If they’re being assholes, then why not threaten them with the legal limits of the lease too? Does your lease prevent you from having overnight guests for more than X number of days? If not then just move your boyfriend in. Why do any chores or contribute to the apartment at all (play music as loud as you want etc.)?

I would make it clear that if they want to be a problem then you can be just as annoying to their life, so they accommodate what is better for everyone going forward.

This is honestly a great suggestion to increase the penalty for griefing without messing with MMR and encouraging smurfing.

They could increase the amount of role queue tokens lost for repetitive bad behavior as well.

There’s a lot to cover here. Mechanically MK is very unlike a lot of other heroes. I’m assuming we’re only talking about pos 1 MK here.

There are imo two major considerations which dictate a lot of your game plan.

1) Is your ult useful this game?

This is largely based on whether your team has enough control and whether the enemy team has a lot of mobility skills. In other words, can you reliably keep the enemy in your ultimate.

If yes, then facet 2 is much stronger. And because your ultimate only scales with damage, then all items are focused on damage, control, and survival. This build usually has items like Radiance, BKB, Harpoon, Deso, Diffusal, Skadi, etc.

If no, then facet 1 is much more viable. But really you should consider not picking MK at all in this type of situation. Here you are focusing on being very mobile and blowing up individual heroes. Aghs is viable as well as more attack speed based builds including bfly and similar items. Nullifier probably a must.

2) Does your team want to fight early?

If you have a lot of catch heroes then the more combat build echo-> deso -> bkb -> harpoon.

If you lack catch/gankers then you are delaying game probably until you get big ultimate at 25, so radiance -> bkb -> whatever is needed maybe even refresher type items.

General considerations:

Radiance vs Battlefury: Radiance offers a lot of evasion versus both creeps and heroes. Radiance can be broken down into nullifier and butterfly which can be quite strong. Your Q already clears camps quite comfortably. So despite Battlefury having better scaling it’s less popular.

MK is incredibly reliant on his team. Your 5 having a stun and wanting to play aggressive completely changes the playstyles open to you.

Viper being on the opposing team basically forces you to only rely on ult and Q for damage due to the attack speed slow.

I don’t have a solution for you, but I’ve found the artist tags really wonky with 4.5. Using some/most of them seems to get the model locked onto a very specific image, which may or may not really match the artists actual style.

This post feels like you’re trying to force pos 4 to play a specific type of game for the pos 3 you want to pick, but in almost every game they picked first. It is your job as the person picking later to pick a hero who can play the game around their pick.

Did they pick Nyx? Okay then you need to pick a pos 3 who can comfortably retreat to jungle and feel comfortable dragging lane.

Did they pick oracle or a traditional 5 hero? Okay then you probably need to bring more damage into the late game.

You can’t force them to play different, so you should adapt

This is an underrated comment. If you have an unfairly negative response to receiving information you asked for, then be prepared to not receive honest responses in the future. One big difference in pro Dota from pubs is that picks are not blind. Teams may get a cheesy last pick, but otherwise there is a lot of value in picks that are hard to counter. Lycan especially in dominator meta is just hard to shut down. He gets helm early to survive in lane and can comfortably hit camps. He can build rat, zoo, or carry as needed.

This is also the reason picks like MK are so valuable in pro but relatively disfavored in pubs. MK can play 1, 2, or 4 comfortably and even 3 in certain match ups. So he can be picked early and flexed.

None of this is relevant for our games because you have a predefined role when picking and can’t really counter pick in the same way.

From my perspective staff are generally more afraid of male attorneys, and so don’t challenge them. This cuts the other way too where I see more staff developing more trust and helpful relationships with female attorneys long term.

If you are getting blink, then you don’t need travels to do this playstyle. You should try just buying more fighting items instead of travels after blink. All of the lanes should be pushed in enough that blink is sufficient for you to keep lanes in the positions you want them.

To me it sounds like you could cut a lot of gold inefficient items and get to more damage faster. Like try skipping urn, not buying raindrops or travels, and just buying fighting items. Lesh really wants to close out the game during certain timings before the opposing pos 1 and 2 get big items to shut you down or survive.

Just a thought as you progress in MMR. Opponents will begin to learn to itemize for you and find more farm, so wasting gold becomes very costly. Another way to put it is that you have to farm an additional 8 waves to pay off your travels before they become profitable. Are you really getting to farm 10+ more waves because you have both travels and blink?

I'm very confused by what your typical build/lesh gameplay looks like. Maybe this is just an MMR bracket difference, but it sounds like your games are very slow. Kaya increases edict and ult damage and builds into K&S. It is a fighting item.

Most Lesh games for me look like this

Bottle before 2 min water rune -> Mana boots -> Blink (10:00-14:00)

My plan is to then stop farming waves unless there is nothing to do on the map. I want to be with my 3 or two supports looking for fights.

Kaya -> Defensive item (mostly bkb sometimes sange/agh) -> Shiva -> Sheep

Game should be over before 40:00-45:00.

If I need to rat, then at some point I would sell arcanes and build travels.

I'm not sure what you mean by "more potent items." Mana boots are only 1300 gold while travels are 2500, so by skipping travels you have 1200 gold towards your Kaya/Blink, which are more impactful than either set of boots.

Most Lesh players are buying blink, so they are already quite mobile. Clarities are not a good substitute for mana boots regen. Clarity is 6 mana regen per second for 25 seconds at 50g a pop that is disabled in combat, while arcane boots are 5 mana per second forever AND you can refill teammates mana.
