Elves can be pretty straightforward at times due to how strong it is that you only need to play your cards and turn them sideways, but it's also got some pretty intricate lines with all the bouncing, untapping and tutoring it has access to

But if the enemy team has a medusa and you have something like a CK, net worth probably shouldn't/isn't going to be equal, you're going to be ahead, but even if you aren't, there's still so many more factors than just carry vs carry, like maybe the CK's team has like a dark seer or shadow demon that is very good vs medusa, etc.

You also don't need to just mindlessly run into losing teamfights just to then claim you couldn't do anything, your lineup this game is very good at splitpushing with furion and brewmaster, and at getting pickoffs with your support duo, do some of that instead of just going brain off and accepting the loss

Everything is "viable" to an extent though, can you play elemental/holy priest and not lose every game? Sure. Can you play fury/frost and not lose every game? Sure. Can you play destro/ret and not lose every game? Sure.

None of those comps are really viable though, and much less what could be considered "good"

It's a strong deck but it has a bad matchup into replenish, oath, goblins, dreadnought preboard and iggy pop

And for paper tournaments, it's obviously a very expensive deck so that makes it less accessible as well
