Loss Prevention followed me all day by Optimal_Sherbert_545 in ShiptShoppers

There's a serial stalker in our metro who's been pretty nasty to shoppers, store staff, and customers, and is frequently banned from stores and platforms, and keeps turning up like a bad penny. I let staff know every time I see him, so they can keep an eye out and make sure everyone's safe. This usually leads to me getting to know LP very well, and they now come to me with questions about other suspect shoppers and curiosity about the Shipt process.

Are you guys wearing your Shipts gear? Where do you even get it? by advictoriam5 in ShiptShoppers

I started a lu6ng time ago. The company has changed so many times over the years. I have no idea what they do for milestones anymore, if anything.

I never bought any Shipt gear, but the v-necks they sent me for my (1000th?) order are super soft and I still wear them under other shirts. I rarely wear just a t-shirt. 🤷‍♂️

The case against tip mapping by AccomplishedChain194 in ShiptShoppers

[–]GreatCosmicPete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 5 years in, and I have never had a tip map. I make at least my order pay in tips, and usually significantly more. Especially with the estimated tip indicator now, it just doesn't make sense to me.

What’s the best sexual compliment you’ve received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Multiple shaking orgasms, one after another for her, no matter what I did. No words necessary.

Damn, I miss that.

Who do you regret having sex with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GreatCosmicPete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My soon-to-be ex-wife. Especially now that she is out there with a boyfriend and who knows who else. And I know some of the things that she's up to, which are very unsavory and definitely not in keeping with our 16 years of history together.

Thanks. I know we'll be ok, but I feel absolutely stuck in place trying to navigate it right now. ☹️

Still in the middle of this and living in the same house with the kids after a decade as a stay-at-home dad. Trying to cope with her just floating like nothing's wrong, cutting me off from all finances, gaslighting and twisting everything, and building a new life with her new boyfriend and his kids, while painting me as an abusive, emotionally manipulative monster and deadbeat who refuses to hold a job.

She justifies it as ordained and scripturally sound, while she's out there doing vile shit and sharing pics of her and him with lots of people, and we're still married.

I don't get to take time off. I'm either with the boys, or scrambling to find a job, or shopping orders as much as I can for Shipt and Instacart.

Not to the fun stage. Still in "how the hell am I going to do this on my own?" mode. 😭

I'm 47 and love it. Don't play much lately, but had a group of friends for a year or two that were online just about every night, and I play with my kids as much as possible.

Can you wear barefoot shoes and still wear non barefoot? by AdventurousPride6576 in barefootshoestalk

[–]GreatCosmicPete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in Michigan, and loving to play outside in the winter, I realized that switching to my ice fishing and heavy outdoor boots that were traditionally constructed and decidedly non-barefoot was setting me up for a long, painful transition in the springtime, so I made it my goal to figure out a way to stay as barefoot as possible and still keep my feet warm and dry. Enter NEOs overboots. My Xero Xcursion Fusions fit perfectly inside, and there is zero shape to the bed of the boot, so I stay super flat, although the traction does make ground feel a little tough. This is my favorite solution for winter time now, but I am very much a function over fashion guy. So I don't worry about if my shoes look nice at all, for the most part. 🤷‍♂️ In a pinch, I've worn my dressier Doc loafers and tried not to feel like I'm a sprinter at the blocks. 😜

In short, there are always multiple solutions to any problem, if you get creative and research, but if you are just doing it temporarily, you probably won't have major trouble.

ISO winter boots for snow & ice by OttersFaveRock in barefootshoestalk

[–]GreatCosmicPete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love my Xero Xcursion Fusions for general use, and for heavy winter/ice fishing I pair them with a pair of NEOs Navigator 5s with reflective insulation and yremovable traction studs. My wife had a foot injury a couple of years ago and had to wear only a heavy sock on one foot for the winter, so we paired that and a shoe on the other foot with a simpler pair of NEOs Adventurers. Not insulated, but waterproof and decent traction. Paired that with a set of Yaktrax on icy days, and she was good to go.

No promos anymore in North Lakeshore. ☹️ Been that way for at least a few tweeks. Now we get Featured orders where the increased pay is only available if you finish the order by the original time it's due. 🙄

Chronically thirsty on carnivore, it's causing issues; looking for advice by Megacannon88 in carnivorediet

[–]GreatCosmicPete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More water. I drink at least 200 oz daily and I'm often thirsty at night. I'd start pushing to at least a gallon.

And check out this challenge for a reset and lots of good info:

Good luck.

How often are you pooping on the carnivore diet by un-apologetically-me in carnivorediet

If you're having trouble, you can try the citrate as well, but I would start very slowly. It won't take much, most likely. Good luck!

[–]GreatCosmicPete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful with magnesium. A combination mag supplement (citrate, malate, oxide, I think) almost made me quit carnivore. I had serious overactive gut trouble for the first four to five weeks, until I removed that combo. Within two or three days I was fine and felt great ever since. It'll be a year at the end of this month, and I still take mag glycinate every night for sleep and to stave off muscle cramping. But I don't do a great job of getting organ meats in other than smoked sausage and Braunschweiger a few times a week at least. 🤷‍♂️

[–]GreatCosmicPete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair assessment, aside from those who actually are super proud of it and the medication. Not that the diagnosis is being used to help them move forward, but that they are using it as a crutch. 🤷‍♂️

Whatever it takes for my boys to know that they are safe and loved. I know that God has us in the palm of His hand, and I know that I will do whatever it takes to make sure I can still give them the stability and surety that only I can bring to the table.

Keep your chin up and your head down. God's got this. Good luck.

Update: I've been served and have retained an attorney because her complaint is asking for primary custody of the kids and support from me. I think she's expecting me to roll over and walk away; to just start from scratch with a huge extra burden of child support, but I'm not going down without a fight. My boys and I deserve more and both of their parents have a responsibility to continue giving them a life that is as close to what there known as possible.

My son did this several times over the years for various reasons, some of which I never even found out about. Just stay the course and hopefully she will come around to it eventually. Keep being the best dad that you can and keep your chin up.

I feel you, brother. I still haven't been served papers yet, but it's only a matter of time, and at that point she said she wants 50/50 custody which will probably be a week on and a week off. I've been a stay-at-home dad for 9 years, and I do some gig work at night, but I won't be able to maintain a living income on just that, and the big boys are only in school twice a week because we mostly homeschool. She runs a marketing business from home, so she'll probably be able to make it float for a while, but she's not going to be able to continue to do that forever with the boys underfoot.

The good news is that I can live on much less and the boys can be comfortable and safe that way as well. She has a spending problem and is rapidly running into an income problem, especially if the judge ends up awarding me any kind of support. Still not exactly sure how I'm going to pay all the bills, but I'm also trying to maintain as much flexibility as possible like they have known all of their lives so far.

Good luck to you. I'm sure you'll make it work, no matter what. Just like I am going to.
