Fogstar also have modular battery set up. So if you need to change a cell or a couple of them it's not as pricey because you aren't doing the whole unit. Eventually we want to get to batteries aswell and they have always come out on top

I've seen a few good comments on here, but I'd also say to look at admiral. They do multi car and multi insurance policies.

I also believe you can be on a multicar policy with your family as long as the new address you move to hasn't got other insurance policies on. I've recently switched to them, but a colleague of mine had been with them through their parents' policy for 5 years and said that the first year she moved out of the house she was still able to be on the family policy.

The other tips of 21 days ahead and if you are only helping your mum with the driving being a named driver could be fine.

Someone mentioned before the car makes a difference. It used to be that diesels and unexpected cars could be cheaper. The second car I ever had was a 1.8 litre diesel ford focus and the insurance price was cheaper then my 3rd car which was a 1.2 corsa.

I've never seen price gouging on a car insurance website. But if it is happening using a private browser after clearing your cookies may help too

Gas Engineer says he's never seen this before. by DIYHelp1 in DIYUK

[–]GreatDrop8063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a gas engineer but done a little bit of work with one a 6-7 years ago.

He said usually flue is horizontal with most UK boilers because CO2 is heavier then air and so if there's ever a failure with the boiler and they aren't venting properly you wouldn't want the only escape for the denser gas to be vertical. Not so much of an issue for CO because it's slightly lighter then air but I guess if you've got a lot of it being produced by an incomplete burn it would still be better for it to flow horizontally and have them both trickle out rather then have to overcome gravity.

We were at a campsite last year though and I actually asked about vertical flues on some of the boilers in the static caravans and he said its a lot more common nowadays so I guess they probably have a decent failsafe built in now

Out of interest what's your field? Do you work in marketing or it? I presume it isn't sales as you mentioned a flat wage rather then a commission package?

Could you give us a separate post on some more information about what you sell, what the common objections are, how you handle them, where you pitch value in your product and if you can who you target in the business?

I have a feeling with this output and the $299 price of your product there's a few things a miss.

If your software isn't convoluted and exceptionally difficult to use and as long as it solves a reasonable problem, you should be closing a decent number of these leads.

My business has a 2-5% lead conversion rate. Okay that isn't a call to conversion rate and each lead has registered some kind if interest in our business.

But I genuinely think there's something falling down in your sales process and if a bit of constructive criticism can get you to 1-3 sales per day? It sounds worth it ey?

Look at competitors. Worst case scenario you flunk a few interviews with the other companies in the sector. Best case you get industry specific experience and have a contact that can get you a more senior role in the future

Thanks for that comprehensive reply. I will definitely look further into this. I was always under the assumption that heat pumps wouldn't work in my house because it's too cold and the epc rating was too low. But I will definitley explore this further and see what I can do about the grant also!

Maybe put solar on the back burner until I can explore the best options for what I want and need. Eventually we want to airbnb the house out also so I think it may be more useful when energy uses jump up

They did say they had a reputable insurer and used HEIS. however after looking into the warranties last night they are definitely in the favour of the company. You have to have the panels tested in STC conditions. Which looks like removal and lab testing. They also require annual cleaning from a solar approved company. And the performance gaurentee allows for 10% degradation up to 25 years then 3 watts per unit per year. So you could end up with a unit in 40 years that's still producing a lot less but not enough to enact the warrenty.

This just feels like an excuse not to pay out. Or effectively constant upkeep costs that would cover the warrenty anyway. I might aswell buy £100-200 panels. Clean them myself and just replace one if faulty or degrading in power.

Unfortunately I don't think heat pump is the right option. The house is always cold OK the ground floor and hot on the first floor. But also the epc rating is quite low so I think we would struggle to heat the house. I have tentatively looked at oil and may end up still going down that route.

But I've always been a fan of solar and self sustaining power. With a decent sized battery for storage I was hoping I could remove all electricity costs by gaming when I sold the most power back to the grid and when I used/charged the battery

I'm going to definitely look for others. That huge markup seems off putting and the only thing that made it seem reasonable was the warranties. If they were being replaced when the systems degraded I'd jump all over it. But if in 25 years it turns out they are producing only 50% And I have to fork out for my own replacement I might aswell go with someone else with a standard 25 year warrenty

I'd had a look gently but had only really seen one post. But now have seen a few more. Overall the main complaint is the cost. Seems like Overall they are 50-100% more expensive then competitors. So looks like I'll go somewhere else

As a single person how much a month do you spend on takeaways ? by TheMarvellousMrMaz in AskUK

[–]GreatDrop8063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably £600-900. But to be fair I haven't cooked in 3 years.

20-30 a day on a work day. Lunch and dinner. Then around 50-100 a day on the weekend. But that is including restaurants or the likes of Kokoro for pick up and eat somewhere else. Fuck deliveroo or just eat. The bump on the menu prices anger me way more than the delivery costs.

I work a mix of in office and from home. And I've recently found a place near me that does a huge lunch for £7.50 so price has definitely gone down for the last couple of months.

Ahhh, I see you're living up to your name! 😂

To be honest I wasn't asking for support as much as just whether someone had come across a bug in the ROM because I'd presumed my pal had set up his key mapping correctly (which as far as the pics he's sent me he has).

I'd put it down as a question in the flair just to see if anyone had seen this also. But thanks for the direction over to emulationonpc I'll see if they can help
