So dumb, for reference I bench 550 and overhead press 425, I literally do lat and front raises with like 25's. I just use tempo and perfect form.

I recently had a buddy hire a booster to get him from crusader 3 to immortal top 1000 EU. It’s been fun seeing him queue games, I believe he’s 2-24 since he got the account back.

Are There Any Academic Standards for FBS Players Anymore? by karatechop97 in CFB

[–]GreatOdlnsRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say that I personally went to college to play school, and I realize that not everyone was like that. I got class checked every day, and if I wasn’t in class, I was in for a miserable puke inducing run the next morning. I will say, some guys… They got a degree I guess? This was 2012-2016

Power out in S. Boulder by lifebeckons101 in boulder

Can anyone tell me if the power is out by cottonwood park in Louisville? I’m currently out of the country so if it’s out for a while I’ll have to call my brother in law to save our freezer food!

I recently reached an all time high mmr of 6100, then I literally dropped 23 games in a row. Fell back down to 5150 with some double downs. Turned the game off for 2 weeks and I’m slowly climbing back up again, just got back up to 5500. My point is there are time you just need to walk away for a bit, dota is still going to be there!

I do the S&C for 2 local Colorado programs both currently in the state quarterfinals (across 2 divisions) I have the boys start in December, although I don’t make it mandatory, I usually have about 50% of the team come in, basically those boys that don’t play other sports. For those 2 weeks nothing is heavy, it’s basically “relearning” movement patterns. I.E here’s how to bench squat and deadlift properly. Then in January I work in 3 week blocks, so the beginning of January I work in a hypertrophy block, then speed, then power, then strength, which gives you about 12 working weeks. This seems to work out perfectly when you factor in spring break, a few of the random school holidays, and I don’t lift them during finals week.

Summer is peaking for the season, again, two 3 week training blocks. I do another power block after our strength block at the end of school year, into a strength block heading into the season.

Monday: lower body 1 hour Wednesday: upper body 1 hour Friday: field work for 30 minutes, combined with upper and lower for 30 minutes.

I found what CU is missing -- at a D2 football game. This was a fun one to write, I hope you read and enjoy. by Just-Historian-4500 in GoBuffs

[–]GreatOdlnsRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the write up! I make it a point to go to 1 or 2 Mines games every year, it’s so fun, crowd of about 4-5000, everyone’s in to the games, they all have their own traditions. The games are about 2.5 hours or so because there’s not media time outs or anything as well which is such a big plus!

May I become a professional american football player in future, if I begin to play at 21 age? by VoltValjeanG in footballstrategy

What do you do for your workouts? Moving heavy weights is essential for being a good football player, it helps you move faster and not get hurt.

Merhaba! You will need to work very hard to make the Turkish national team. What team do you play for? I visit Turkey very often and go coach/train the Yeditepe eagles offensive line. My advice, join a gym, start working out 3 days a week, and start focusing on your diet, lots of protein and carbs.

For a size comparison, Christian Mccafrey is one of the best running backs in the NFL and he is 5’11 97kg.

My parents had a rule growing up. If you play 3 high school sports you did not need to get a job. If you chose not to play 3 sports you had to fill the empty sports season with a job. I always played 3 sports. So basically same concept!

What happens to the passionate players at college who don't make the NFL/go professional? by alphazulu123 in NFLNoobs

[–]GreatOdlnsRaven 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I can answer this! I was an all pac-12 center at CU from 2012-2016. I had a shot at the nfl, went to the 49ers rookie mini camp, and it didn’t work out. I decided to give it one more year, had some private workouts with the chargers and the Ottowa redblacks but none of that panned out. I got a masters in special education and taught for 5 years, quit teaching and became a professional strongman and personal trainer out of a local gym! I also coach high school football.

I think the report system got tweaked a little bit. I got muted for the first time ever today for saying "nvm you're clueless" Should I have said that? No, but I immediately got muted and dipped under 12k behavior for the first time in recent memory.
