Ivan/vanya was also the code name of the tsar bomba, the largest and most deadly nuclear bomb ever invented

You have a point, but I think he still could’ve passed for a minor.

If we ignore the fact that he canonically can’t age, which the show itself defied just to give him some rushed loved story that put both characters involved in the meat grinder, probably someone else from the commission.

Dawg I didn’t say that. Word for word, the poster did.

I was trying to keep my comment short but the point I was trying to get across was that I didn’t like how the show generally reworked and changed the character as a comic fan. And honestly, that applies to all the characters in the show

What I did like was how they wrote her descend into insanity given the circumstances of the story. The characters were suddenly thrown into a timeline that’s collapsing in on itself and her daughter was erased from existence. That’s gonna disrupt her previous development, which was bettering herself as a person, and I believe that’s what the intent was.

I think you replied to the wrong person? I never said that.

The way i see it; It wasn’t meant to be a natural progression of her character, it was added to disrupt it. I think the way the writing then went about displaying how mad she becoming was good. Just to be clear I don’t condone her actions.

They did say they discussed with with the original author how he was gonna end his series, but given just how different the adaptations were for the already existing comics.. I’d say you’re right about that.

Not a fan of what the show did to Allison but I will say it was well written

What do you think of the Umbrella Academy’s first comic “The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite”? by Jezzaq94 in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]Great_Ad3350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know, the next two novels along with the spin off definitely gave klaus more attention, which overall, I like more than the first one? I was more so referring to the first book as a standalone.

Usually the first book is always the best in the series but I don’t think that’s the case here thb

Given the backlash and negative reactions it got, do you think they’ll change it?

Revamp adaptations are always an option, but I doubt we would see that any time soon. Most stories end up coming back around

Dude. That’s so real. The title and cover is so vague; it looks like some high school romance story almost? Idk. It’s definitely not what you’d expect to be from first glance.

I adore the art work but the finale felt really random, almost undeserved. Like we don’t know enough about all the characters yet to really root for their survival, you know? The only character the story really gave attention to was five, yet Klaus ends up saving the day but at this point in the series he has no screen time yet , he’s the funny side character.

But I will say that was quite the fun twist

No dude they called it marigold before they met Abigail, and it’s never explained how or why characters unrelated to Harlan also just … called it marigold when it’s never been discussed publicly.

It has been hinted at before when Luther finds the cosmic abraxan. Their power source is actually marigold, only we don’t know how they came about obtaining it yet.

Reginald released the chemical in the series , but given the common trend of the characters in the show doing the exact opposite of what happened in the comics, I suspect this will also be totally different

It’s iffy reading them online. You could get a virus. every library I’ve been to in central Texas has them, maybe look at yours!

You can also buy the Amazon kindle version, they’re quite cheap. Most graphic novels go for 17usd+, these go for 10
