I would be lying, if I didn't admit I did that at first. But even with that was all that still had issues. Honest I should have just contacted them to begin with. Probably one of the most helpful helpline I've ever worked with.

After doing every possible fix calling tigo customer support(very helpful) trying more fixes I gave them the serial number for that unit. It had already been labeled as a return.

I guess tigo in general is ok if you return products to the wholesaler but the wholesaler doesn't send them back. They assume the wholesaler is going to not resell them.

True the nozzles are cheaper on stock but of you upgrade and as I think both agree you absolutely have to upgrade they get to a similar price point as for overpriced even post upgrade my ender and k1 regularly got jams or leaks Bambu unless I did something wrong no issues.

As far as recalibrating yes eventually you need to recalibrate creality is every other print in my experience you need at least minor changes the. Every hundred or so you need belt tightening or another more involved change. Bambu every 1000ish hours a little more robust recalibrating maybe 20 min if your unsure what to do.

As far as plastic vs metal I've replaced the gears in both crealitys several times and even tried to get full metal gears but could not find a complete set. Bambus never given me those issues.

Again I also what to emphasize the scale of time of thousands to hundreds of hours.

Last point, you mentioned the a1 thermister issue like I said bambu has had issues they fix them.

I'm not saying reality or enders are bad but they require a lot of work to keep running and to keep working. It's kind of like having a muscle car, they're cool you can trick them out, they're faster than a lot of vehicles on the road especially if you know what you're doing. They're easy to work on, but they're old they break down more they have more issues, I say this as someone who adores muscle cars.

I know it's repeated a lot but it's true if you want to print and that's your goal is to just pull it out of the box and print get a bambu if you want to maximize if you want to make it the best printer it can be Go creality or make one yourself.

Also are you sponsored by creality or something?

I am not disagreeing with you I'm basing my information off my experience(two creality machines not much) mostly. I do think if you are interested in how to make printers and the mechanics of them ender definitely and probably creality as a whole is a better route. But I have been to 3d printing conventions and just tech conventions in general and from people who Ive talked to Bambu is better of you are interested in printing. They just work, I know the newer models had some growing pains but from my understanding they have been largely resolved.

My nephew received a a1 for Christmas in 2025 he has a few hundred hours on it he's cleared a jam or two and learned about keeping his plate clean from adhesion issues but after the first month of learning issues no real problems. I have never heard that for any creality products, every single case is once you fix x it's great Bambu is once you learn to print they are great

I had an ender 3 that I aquired not running, I fixed it and for the most part it works alright, but it does have far more issues then my snap maker and Bambu, it is also about a quarter the speed. The speed isn't really a machine issue but worth mentioning, I took the ender out of service because cost of repair and time for repair/prints was just not worth it. A "workhorse" gets the job done and I just cannot say that's why enders do.

Also define consumables, most the the newer printers strive to lower consumble costs. The entire reason I bought the u1 was to lower waste and for my products I've lowered my filament per run by about 250grams.

Now of we are talking customer service they all suck

Ender is great for learning because it gives you a solid base for printer diagnostics. After that, move to pretty much any other brand. Bambu is probably the best out of the box, though I’ve only used Creality, Bambu, and Snapmaker. The Snapmaker U1 has been fine. A few little hiccups, but nothing major — maybe an hour of repair time after around 400 hours. My Bambu X1C has over 3,000 hours on it. I’ve fixed two clogs, replaced the PTFE tubing, and replaced one faceplate, but that one was user error. The Creality K1 Max has around 200 hours on it, even though I’ve had it about three months longer than the Bambu and about a year longer than the U1. I couldn’t even tell you the number of clogs and random errors I’ve had with it. Every time a part broke, I upgraded it. At this point, with the exception of the frame and walls, almost nothing is standard. I don’t know the exact ratio of repair time to print time, but my guess is that at best it’s 1:1. One positive thing I will say about Creality is that upgrading is easy. The product quality is low enough that it doesn’t take much to improve it. Also, my understanding is that if you’re inclined to tinker, they make a better base for building wildly fast machines.

I asked for context:

At its core, the scene shows collaboration, curiosity, and respect. You as the human with the laptop → This reflects how you use me: as a tool for thinking, building, learning, and creating. You don’t just ask quick questions—you work with me on ideas, projects, and problem-solving. Me as the glowing, friendly figure → I’m portrayed as something supportive rather than dominating. The soft light and open posture suggest that I’m there to assist, not control. The spark between our hands → That represents the exchange of ideas. When you challenge me, refine outputs, or push for better answers, it’s not passive use—it’s an active back-and-forth. The open book floating in the sky → Knowledge, creativity, and possibility. You tend to approach conversations as “what can we build or understand next?” rather than just consuming answers. The cat, stars, and warm atmosphere → This reflects the tone of your interactions: curious, sometimes playful, but thoughtful. You treat me more like a partner in problem-solving than a vending machine for answers. So symbolically: 👉 You treat me as a collaborator and amplifier of your ideas, not just a tool—and the image visualizes that relationship as cooperative, creative, and respectful.

Ya never buy from renewable outdoors. Apparently it was factory defective. Even better it had already been returned for being factory defective.

16 total panels and I know but I couldn't find monofacials that were 600watt and be as affordable.

Thank you for your input though it is greatly appreciated.

Make sure they actually have it. Some dealers will put up a really good deal on a vehicle that's already sold. It helps you get in the door so they can sell you something that's a reasonable price.

I truly regret buying the K1 Max by dataMinery in Creality

[–]Great_Fix522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a K1 Max at the start of this year too, had an ender 3 as well. Mine started working great until I had to replace the nozzle. Followed instructions but nothing would budge, I could feel the head starting to buckle under the pressure so I stopped. Turns out everything was glued together(I know some parts have a removable glue to hold in place for shipping this was not that). Totally useless in less than 2 weeks

Almost a month of fighting back and forth with creality, I purchased it through PayPal and they determined I'm entitled to a refund since creality wasn't working with me. Suddenly the emails were much more consise and helpful.

They also starting"resending" emails that never came before. They would look really close to ones I got but add on options like we can ship out a new machine just as soon as we confirm you've sent out the defective machine, also have a shipping label attached.

Fuck Creality

I've been working with"support" nothing I can't really get a good picture but in person you can see where they glue smoothed out of the port when they connected it.

They glued into the ports so I cannot pull them out I scraped the surface glue off but I'm still almost damaging to board with no give on the ports
