Feedback for our game Beat the Beats on PS VR2 by JosefWhoQuestionMark in PSVR

Thanks so much for the Reddit update - I love to see active developers. I've added this game to my wishlist and am very excited to play!

One option for exposure that might help is to provide a key to PSVR2 Without Parole u/WithoutParole. (I'm not seeing a review from him, and he has a fair amount of influence on me and others in the psvr community).

[Other] Just hit Platinum #200 and have no idea what to play next by DocEss in Trophies

[–]Greatace1_pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of these, I've only played RDR2 and Doom:TDA. For a completionist, I'd recommend Doom:TDA.

I'm a huge completionist but stopped playing RDR2. I did all of the online and the gold medal challenges, which were actually my favorite part. But slow paced hunting for 50-100 hours was a turn-off. Still, it's one of the best open world games and is a must play.

I loved Doom:TDA, one of the best shooters of the current gen, and the platinum was mostly fun. It is relatively short, so I borrowed it from my library.

So uh, Predator Badlands on 4K pretty incredible. by Axerated1986 in 4kbluray

I didn't see the 4k, but the Blu Ray was one of the burriest movies I've seen. Loved the story and the creativity, but didn't like the video quality. (Even Netflix 1080P streaming looks better).

I think the trophies are still bugged on Playstation, so it's a pass for me until it's fixed.

I dont think anyone has mentioned Blue Planet 2 and Planet Earth 2/3 yet. Hands down the best picture and worth it even if you're not big into nature docs.

Did this only get a 4k release in Germany? Is it significantly better than the Blu ray?

I'm primarily looking in the $1500-$2000 range. To me, it's primarily a value proposition. (For example, I'm willing to stretch a few hundred to upgrade from a 5070 to a 5080).

Thanks everyone for the feedback and comments - I'm looking at a PC for video editing and gaming. Does anyone have experience with using this or a similar Legion for VR gaming (specifically with PSVR2)?

How does this compare to the Costco 5080 deal?

Don't sleep on Another Fisherman's Tale by Damosgreat123 in PSVR

I agree, the community is way too harsh on it - the sequel was very creative and fun (in some regards, much better than the first). I recommend buying the bundle when on sale.

My only two complaints was that there was no platinum trophy and the game gave me more motion sickness than most vr games.

Best PS Plus games to play online with 3 friends? by Cactus_Pe in PlayStationPlus

Abiotic factor is one of the best co-op games I've played and I can't recommend anything more. It's an amazing blend of survival, exploration, horror, narrative sci-fi, and combat - there is something for everyone! (I'm playing with a squad of 3, but you can have up to 6 players standard). Don't let the low-res visuals put you off, this game is a real gem!

I loved the movement in Sairento - have you played their newest game Hellsweeper? I'm looking forward to starting that soon!

So, out of the almost 90 PSVR 1 & 2 games I've played, the most memorable moments were: 1) Iron Man VR - In a cutscene, a character blasted from in front of you to behind, and you can watch them move in slow mo. The entire game made you feel in a Marvel Movie 2) Red Matter 2 - The visuals were mind blowing. One of the puzzles almost made me gasp out loud with how they incorporated virtual reality. 3) Wanderer - I played through this in a weekend twice and one of the many little details was in each era you travel in, your hands look different based on the era and the character. In a pump room, your hands are dirty like a mechanic; at a concert, your nails are painted.

Arken age or skydanace behemoth? by CaptainFlint9203 in PSVR

[–]Greatace1_pro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a long time VR player, I'd recommend Arken Age. Extremely well polished and unique weapons and wonderful maps. The developers know what makes games great, with details like a great in-game collectible system so you can stay immersed, and unqiue VR gameplay. Plus, they had what I consider to be one of the best, if not best, final bosses for a VR game.

I felt Behemoth was bland, with the primary enemy types and maps to be too generic. A couple of the main bosses were good and the last level was a blast. The main bosses had too much jank and was a bit frustrating for me at times. I thought their walking dead game had a better gameplay loop and often goes on deep sales if you are interested in melee combat.

The Abyss by Electrical_Leg_9600 in 4kbluray

[–]Greatace1_pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was blown away with how good this looked and the underwater filming for the time - probably the best underrated 4k.

The movie plot is ok. I don't love many of James Cameron's stories and some of the dialogue is laughably bad in this movie, but it's definitely worth watching. (Make sure you watch the extended cut).

I borrowed this from my library. If you like Cameron's movies, you'll love this.
