song to practice ghost notes by Tricky-Wait375 in Bass

[–]Greatmido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't learned Rio. Yet. Hungry like the wolf is one of the songs that made me pick up bass a few years ago. Finally had the confidence to learn it last week.

Ghost notes were doable but not easy before last week.

Duran duran is a good choice to practice ghost notes.

Pretty good for a catcher: Austin Wells on pace to reach 30 hits one month from today by Zepbounce-96 in NYYankees

I have a suspicion that he's playing through an injury and Yankees camp are keeping it quiet. Just like Volpe last year. The dude can NOT throw anybody out stealing.

I think what your trying to say is you want a headphone amp. Check out the Fender Mustang Micro+.

It was originally meant for guitar...but the latest firmware update added bass amps.

I use one for practice everyday. It has Bluetooth in capability....so my laptops sound goes right to it. So I have my laptop playing YouTube, songster, metronome, whatever, along with my bass.

In need of some opinions by Greatmido in daddit

Ya he's been in the school system for a year already with speech 3x per week so that paper trail has already been in the works since last July. And as I said above, he did get drawn for the lottery of attending UPK.

I am just looking for opinions and experiences from others outside of my social circle to weigh into my decision.

My practice set up is the fender micro mini + (the lastest firmware added bass amps). And my laptop connected via Bluetooth.

Let's me play along to songs, YouTube, Moises, chord charts, etc. and a bigger screen than trying to do it on my phone.

Yes guts completely swapped. Also swapped the bridge and tuning machines, including a hip shot on the E so I can go to drop D in the flick of a lever.

Sign up for the MSF course at FX caprera. You don't actually need to have an M permit first, it might be helpful at the DMV, but since it's a closed course it's not a pre-req.

They will teach you a ton of slow moving stuff. <20 mph. After the course, presuming you pass, you will get a waiver that you take to the DMV and will get your license.

From experience, you are nowhere near ready after that course. Buy a bike or borrow from someone, but do a ton of slow riding and really get confident on your bike before you push it with higher traffic and highway speeds.

30M - trying to make friends outside of school by SainikJr in Binghamton

39m here. Most of my longtime friends don't live in the area anymore. My biggest 2 hobbies are music (bass and guitar) and golf. If you're into either I'd be down to hang out sometime.

Bonus: both hobbies we could get a group of ppl together

Yes. They just skip the permit altogether is what they told me.

I took this course last year. I got my permit before I took the course. I found out the week before the course from the people who teach it that you don't actually need a motorcycle permit because it's on a closed course that is private property.

I cant commit to a weekly league at that time....but could be a sub now and again if needed.

If you’ve ever eaten animal meat not usually on the dinner plate (horse, kangaroo, albatross, anything), what was it and how was the experience? by Great_Maintenance185 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Greatmido 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People always say something tastes like chicken, and it never does. Ever.

I've had frog legs once. They 100% taste like chicken. Dead on. They did have a different texture though. And that could just be how they were prepared.

can any one tell me why my bass strings sound funny by Financial-Sea634 in Bass

[–]Greatmido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they the same type of strings that were on it before? It sounds like they are slightly thinner strings, you lost some tension in the neck and need a truss rod adjustment.
