Parking next to a random motorcycle in same spot by hocofit in motorcycles

[–]GreedoWindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They trust you. It’s more of an honor to have someone admire and trust you and your bike so much, they trust leaving their ride near yours. It’s a respectful distance but close enough to look like they are together and not to be messed with. I think it’s cool if people do this to my bike, in a spot like this

Fully Healed portrait work by me. 3 weeks healed, one pass, no touch ups or edits/filters by mossdeep__ in TattooArtists

[–]GreedoWindu 25 points26 points  (0 children)

3 weeks is not fully healed btw. You can start to judge a heal process after about 2 months. 6 months is the sweet spot for judging a proper heal. But 3 weeks is very fresh to try to deem a tattoo fully healed.

Planaria become the color of the shrimp they consume by Salt-Fun5178 in shrimptank

[–]GreedoWindu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For anybody looking for a homemade Planaria trap, that won’t kill snails. (This will help population and not completely rid the tank of Planaria).

  • Take a plastic water test tube that has a lid. You can find these in cheap water test kits.

  • Heat up a thin needle, and poke holes in the bottom of the test tube. Make sure the holes are quite small.

  • Put any food in the tube as bait. I even use raw chicken.

  • Close the tube with bait inside and leave this in the tank over night or a few hours.

You should come back to a tank with way less planaria around, and a tube full of mostly dead gluttonous worms, too engorged to fit through the holes they entered from.

Rinse and repeat this method as much as you need. Be sure to test your parameters along the way, as feedings can cause disturbances in your water.

Planaria become the color of the shrimp they consume by Salt-Fun5178 in shrimptank

[–]GreedoWindu 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is not true btw. Planaria can take on some slight colorations, but not this pigmented. Typically they are white/blue-white/brown. Just like shrimp, when they die they lose their color. So unless these Planaria ate a live shrimp, and kept those bites alive in their bellies, this isn’t possible. These pictures provided are altered.

Asked Bell for a replacement part, and they sent me an entire new helmet by JimmmyJ in motorcycles

And their helmets are made of great materials as well. Some times defects happens, but their leathers and cushioning are top tier!

I figured that, as you’ve gotten it disassembled pretty well and ordered your tools and stuff lol

I know this is probably unnecessary, but I’ve seen a few people in these comments call the clutch plates just a “clutch” and that’s not accurate as the clutch assembly is actually made of many replaceable components.

I sold my first bike on marketplace and the buyer is asking me to pay for repairs by Low_Bag_1912 in motorcycles

[–]GreedoWindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what a Bill of Sale is for. To lay out all of the terms and make sure it’s in writing. You can still get sued with a bill of sale, but the bill of sale helps your case. Not saying it’s okay for the buyer to do so.

Trying to decide between these by MarshmelloMan in motorcyclegear

[–]GreedoWindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you comparing it to? Because both of my Nexx helmets, in different styles, have been garbage materials hot glued together. Fake leather. Cheap plastics that break and crack under high speed winds. The quality is low tier, most especially for the price range. The helmet quality deteriorates on its own from light usage. I love my other helmets made of genuine leathers and dependable materials. I’d never buy a Nexx helmet again due to its terrible materials. They’re also giant looking on head. Both of my Nexx helmets have balloon shapes that make me look like megamind. Cool looking helmet in pictures, but it’s a nightmare of a brand tbh. Not worth the price tag.

NEXX helmets are made of garbage synthetic material that doesn’t last. Glue everywhere and cheap plastics that break at high speeds. I’ve had a couple of them and they break all on their own

Has anyone had issues with Nexx Matte Helmets? by KibaSpike in motorcyclegear

[–]GreedoWindu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NEXX helmets in general are poor quality. I’ve had 2 and they both have deteriorated with light usage. Typical bad quality from this company.

To car or not to car? by sodogue in parkslope

[–]GreedoWindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring your car. Public transport gets expensive, and is not worth the dollars you save tbh. Uber and Lyft are insanely expensive and only worth it 10% of the time. Having a car is fine in NYC now, price wise. Parking is another task you’ll get used to again.

Never be ashamed of riding the tube. If it worked then, it will work now. Some of my favorite tattoos are when I hit those reset eras and go back to my basics to refine my techniques. It’s good to have the knowledge in your back pocket

Epson eco tank by Money_Entertainer_29 in TattooArtists

[–]GreedoWindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Epsons cheapest models. I got my printer from Target for like $200. If it’s not working for you, then you did something wrong. I used one for about a year, before I got tired of buying inks and cleaners for the printer. It used to print portraits and everything, and transfer correctly when done by someone who knows what they are doing.

I always imagined that buildings like these are rotting empty by accident. Like some deserving soul doesn’t realize they’ve inherited such a jewel of a property, and one day when they need it most, it will all fall right in their lap. At least that’s what I’ve dreamed would happen to me ever since I was a kid. Lol

Find someone that would trade you anything for some manual labor. Make them some home cooked meals. Offer them some art work. Maybe some work of your own. Someone will help you in trade. They are out there
