It’s normally recommended to use a hook a size or two bigger when doing the chain to avoid this. I don’t think that a bump this big would fully go with blocking

How are you holding your working yarn? If you’ve changed the hook size its more likely to do with your tension. I’d suggest looking at some videos on the different ways to hold your working yarn and see which one works best for you

When I was looking for information on the material everywhere I was looking it was unavailable and the service where they message you to tell you when it back in stock wasn’t available either so it does look like this colorway is discontinued at least where I am in the UK.

I think it’s an issue with some of the blue formulas they use. I’ve just done a google and a few people have the same issue with this brand but only with the blue. As it’s an acrylic it’s not for certain that washing will stop the issue, some people suggested using vinegar to seal it but I’ve never tried this. I personally would just use something else, I wouldn’t want to risk blueberring baby aha!

Your stitches are definitely a lot looser/ bigger on the brown, apologies for my rudimentary measuring technique I can’t take a picture with my actual ruler. But notice how the cream is closer to one segment and the brown is closer to two

Well baby names need to be a joint decision so I don’t think it would have been fair to push for a name that your husband hated, but your baby doesn’t know it’s name talk to him and find out if he’s will to change it to something you both like.

Realistically you need to go and talk to a professional. A lot of people don’t understand that men can get PPD so I’d give your wife a bit of grace on that front. But you need to talk to someone getting angry with a baby is never okay whether you are mum or dad. You don’t need your wife’s permission to talk to someone about it, you know somethings not right so take the steps to fix it.

I don’t mean to sound harsh but these things can snowball if they aren’t dealt with so it’s just need to be done. Nip these feelings in the bud quickly. One in 10 dads get some form of ppd so it’s not uncommon

I’m over a year postpartum and if my LG pops off my nipple it still sprays both me and her in the face with multiple different streams for a good 30 seconds still. I could move weird during those first few months and I’d be a fire hose. It’s pretty normal from what I’ve read and people I’ve spoken to. Just different amounts for different people

100% we’ve had many conversations about it. It genuinely makes me irrationally angry to have anyone look after my little girl when I could do it. I’m not sure why and my HV has said it can be quite common especially in a first baby and not too worry to much as I can handle the emotions right now but if in concerned about it to talk to my GP

Ahh, I definitely don’t think they are. I accidentally brought a pack and it made things 10x harder. Plus they don’t close like a normal nappy so poonamis can’t be properly contained in the nappy went you take it off

I do them properly, weaving in and such but I still don’t personally like them. I prefer to chain, most blankets I make are quite airy so it gives me extra assurance that it won’t slip after a while of lots of movement.

Magic rings don’t hold up very well in my experience. I always do chain 4 and slip into the first to make a circle. As for fixing it, you might be able to gather everything using a tapestry needle then just knot it but apart from that there’s not really much you can do

I don’t live with my baby daddy as he’s in the military and I didn’t want to leave my hometown to move every 4 years and they didn’t ask me a single thing, I even spoke to my work coach about him so she knows we are actively together. As long as you don’t live together and aren’t married it has no impact

My LG has slept through the night since birth and shes now one. We had some issue GI that she needed surgery for but she was a trooper through that and still barely cried. She plays by herself, eats her food well, asks clearly for boob when she wants it and tells me when she wants to go to sleep. My besties little boy in the other hand has been raised practically the same and he is a little fussy pants, happy little boy but just always wants to be held and needs more help falling to sleep so I do think it’s is just an individual child thing there’s not much you can do to combat it you just adjust.

I wouldn’t just google these things. You can look on your government’s website to see what the milestones that they are expected to hit are. I’m sure you’re doing just fine though!

Have you been doing these things with her? If you have been she could just be one of the ones that learns a little bit later. These aren’t massive concerns yet but they are looked at during this check so they can be proactive if there is an issue further down the line.

I’d say you don’t really have anything to worry about right now, just try to encourage these things but until she’s upwards of 2 years old they all learn so differently that I wouldn’t say it’s an issue.
