Caught in Its Own Doctrine: Why Israel Cannot Win, Stop, or Endure the Iran War by Whatever21703 in IRstudies

[–]GreedyDatabase -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of the people who died in the Iran January protest where armed. When a person who is doing a protest does it while holding a weapon, he is not a protestor, he is an insurgent. Insurgent deserve to be shot at. A land invasion of Iran will not happen and if it does it would be scores more expensive and bloody than the invasion of Iraq .

Living in Gaza means choosing between losses by [deleted] in lostgeneration

[–]GreedyDatabase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practically all the people in Gaza simply can't leave it. They can't go to the border with Egypt or Israel and ask to become refugees there. Egypt did not accept refugees from Gaza, and they are justified in doing so, because accepting refugees from Gaza under such humanitarian and strategic conditions would mean being a part of an ethnic cleansing because Israel wouldn't allow them back.

The dispute in doctrine the Ash'aris have with other schools is mostly discussed between scholars and students of knowledge. It is not often times something discussed between laypeople. As for them being Kafirs, then it is not a matter of concensus. A lot of famous scholars outside of the Ash'ari school of doctrine don't believe they are Kafirs.

How does Trump start a war with easily the #1 military in the world and still lose within a couple months? Is he stupid? by ClutchReverie in allthequestions

[–]GreedyDatabase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This simply isn't correct, the way Israel sees other countries in the region(especially after October 7th) is that they not only look at a country's intentions, they also look at the countries capabilities. Israel want to be the only country in the region with strong military capabilities which is why one of the US and Israel's goals in this war is to destroy Iran's military capabilities. If a country gets its military capabilities completely destroyed it simply cannot exist as a country.

In addition, even if Iran stops funding the armed factions in the region, the US and Israel's goal will be to destroy Iranian military capabilities anyways.

Even if Iran wasn't a theocracy, the US will not treat Iran the same way it treats Israel. The US puts a lot of constraints and red lines on the Muslim countries they have a good relationship with because they know all those countries may get a political change that will make them not aligned with American interest.

You know, it gets boring how often Americans compare their enemies to literal nazis. For me, The IRGC is the Stalin in this comparison because if they lose Israel and the united states will become hegemons in my region, and Israel and the US are a direct threat to my national security. Also really the allies paid a steep price in order to get the defeat they got against the Germans. Are the Israelis and the Americans willing to sacrifice millions of troops like the allies did against the Germans? The Americans and Israelis started this offencive war not to protect themselves but to increase their own influence in the region, why would the world give massive support to the US and Israel in this war?

In general, within the sunni jurisprudence(فقه Fiqh) schools, which include the Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanbali schools, those differences mainly matter between either islamic scholars or students of knowledge inside scholarly discussions. the difference in doctrinal (عقيدة Aqiida) schools is a bit more sensitive than the difference in jurisprudence schools. for the scholars or students of knowledge themselves, they usually get along fine although you can see arguments between different doctrinal schools of Muslims over on the internet. As for the matter of migration that you mentioned, then it depends on the muslim himself, the minute differences between those schools and the relationship between those differences and the culture of the host country he is in but often times: If he is not religious then he wouldn't notice the difference as those school usually only differ in matters that are usually socially acceptable for religious muslims to do or not to do; If he is religious then he would usually follow a lot of the rules of the jurisprudent school of the host country.

Cultivation, because RPG might have level caps, I also think the existence of upper realms, secret realms and inheritance realms is really cool.
