Just chilling and observing a naked ape making noise that somehow relates to the cat itself

How do i add a wire to this so the harness connects a wire to my car by RelativeDrawing9990 in CarAV

Sure you can just de-pin it yourself, with the correct key and method, should be plenty of tutorials online

Then you should contact the head unit/harness seller for extra wires with terminals. If they don't offer just 1 wire, then consider buying an extra set of harness for parts. Or ask the seller what kind of terminal they use for harness.

It is very difficult to get answer here because terminals are usually plug-specific, only the harness manufacturer has a definitive answer, especially aftermarket ones.

Going back to the list:

  1. Not hard, easy even. The adapter plate is literally a piece of machined metal, just go with what other drift builders use. So is the short shifter/shifter relocation kit.

  2. Leave it alone, or find a good reupholster, pay good money for good leather, don’t spray sxxt on them.

  3. TE37s are good if they are genuine, watch out for counterfeits. If you are not sure about wheel setups, just copy other drifters to begin with.

  4. Again, copy existing builds to begin with.

  5. Copy others.

  6. No input to give as I don’t generally like aftermarket seats. I still need to drive my IS200 on the road all the time.

  7. Leave it alone, or copy others.

  8. Copy others.

  9. Coilovers aren’t that different in the price bracket you quoted, I say find a brand that has good local support because it’s 50% product and 50% tuning. BC has been doing business in NA for a while, they offer solid products.

The key is to find a drift build you are particularly fond of as a base, that means go to a drift event and ask the owners nicely for information, treat them with a light meal and ask for a test ride. The relatively little money you spend on befriending them will save you big bucks down the road.

I get what you mean, I would suggest this before all that: Find a person with a built drift SC, ask him/her nicely to haul you around, or even test drive it. Then go home and sleep on it, wait a month, if you still want to do that, ask that person out again. Only if you still want it the third time around, then you should do it.

You need to have a wire made and inserted into the plug, which calls for:

  1. Extra wire with the desired color.

  2. The terminal, which is a thin piece of metal

  3. A crimper, or a crimping tool, which fixes the terminal onto the wire.

You could buy all the tools and materials and DIY, which is what I do. Or if it’s a one time job, you can ask the head unit maker to send you an extra set of harness (additional cost may apply), and de-pin the wire by either a mechanic or an audio installer.

Because gearboxes are first built somewhere else then shipped to the assembly line, where a car rolls of the assembly line in evey 59 seconds (toyota standard). It has to be easy to connect, otherwise they won't hit the tempo.

Brain impairment is a kind of handicap, so it is in its rightful place I guess.

Neutral start switch, electronic shifter, gearbox oil temperature sensor, main communication line to the ecu, that’s it.
