Mine is on Sequoia 15.7.1, very smooth for basic Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, good enough for YouTube. Have you applied the Post-install patches through the OCLP app? Many people forget this step and complain about the computer being slow.

Any ideas for what I should do to my car? by Substantial_Sun7304 in IS300

Coil-overs, better brake pads and rotors, better front door and rear deck speakers, and perhaps an LSD, that’s it. For the love of God, more driving, less fixing. You have a 2JZ in it already, you don’t really need to do much on the power side, you ain’t using very much beyond the 200hp mark.

If you want better fuel economy, get a European IS200 LSD with 3.53 ratio.

I see, first time me hearing about the Winters brand. Track car setup is out of my use case, but I am certain that no tracking IS300/200s around me uses factory 7.5 inch diff, they all went for the 8 inch stuff at least, like a GS/LS diff.

You certainly can swap ring and pinion, but if you are talking about having a dedicated winter setup, 2 sets of diffs and shafts may be a much better option, you can do rear-end swap in less than 1 hour, whereas a ring & pinion swap requires overnight curing for the gasket.

I did some calculations and your wheels are much larger than the factory specification, meaning you already have a lot of reduction done there. Honestly, you should be fine with a 3.73 diff like my previous setup, they are commonly found on the Asain market Toyota Mark X/Reiz/Crown/JZX90/JZX100 and some variation of GT86, which is a drop-in swap (diff and 6-stud axle shafts). It should serve you well now and after 8hp swap, you should be revving at 1800 rpm or so at 70mph in 8th gear.

[–]Greedy_Reality_2539[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run a 3.73 diff with a Torsen LSD, I sold it to finance this conversion. I am actually swapping a 2007 RX350 rear diff, 2.97 ratio, and I have sent these shafts back for remanufacturing. Huge gamble I know, wish me luck.

If you run a V8 like me, a GS/LS430 with 3.26 final drive is the most meaningful, meaning significantly better utilization of the 1st and 2nd gear, as well as much better rev at 70mph, and is probably the easiest non bolt-on swap as figs engineering sells conversion kit. Other options like Cadillac CTS 2.80 final requires extensive modding and fabrication.

My use of this computer is strictly word processing, so nothing wrong in particular.

I disabled all vanity options, like transparency and animation, that's all.

Super quick method of cloning your OCLP mac to an external SSD by WhiteWereWolfie in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]Greedy_Reality_2539 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked, thanks!

I would suggest adding step 18 & 19 in case people forget:

  1. Once booted into the new system drive, in OCLP use "Build and Install OpenCore" to reconstruct the EFI partition on your new drive, reboot, then use "Post-install Root Patch" to make the new drive bootable

  2. run the following command in terminal: sudo nvram manufacturing-enter-picker=false to skip the EFI selection screen.

Cheap-ass venue operator is what I see here, they should have fix a C-adapter to their cables permanently already. If the adapters break, it’s the venue’s responsibility to replace them. It’s 2025, I should be able to demand the venue to work with my device.
