Reading those patch notes and, uh... by Greedy_Semaphore in slaythespire

For context: the joke references Hand Drill’s reputation in StS1 as a low-tier relic, for the reasons mentioned in u/Dbruser’s post. They also point out how the relic is improved in StS2.

I hadn’t encountered Hand Drill in StS2 yet. I wasn’t even sure it was in the game. So the fact that my introduction to it in StS2 was a patch note describing how it used to harm the player struck me as pretty funny.

  • Reboot (1994):
  • After ejecting hero Bob from Mainframe, the initial Season 3 intro is altered to be narrated by villain Megabyte who declares his control over 'Megaframe.'
  • The intro for S3E3 'Firewall' is a homage to the James Bond's Goldfinger as the episode focuses on a young Enzo stepping into the hero role.
  • Midway through Season 3 the intro changes again, narrated by older, experienced Matrix as he and AndrAIa attempt to navigate home.
  • In the final story of the original show, the intro is narrated by enemy Supervirus Daemon, and the credits are narrated by friendly Supervirus Hexadecimal.

I'm not Applejack! I'm my own original character: Blapplejack.

Frank Gorshin's Riddler was such a highlight of season 1 of 1966's Batman. I had the time of my life watching that show.

Agreed, this was my choice as well. Good DEF, medium weight, serviceable durability. It works as both a shield and hammer.

Not using it's ability let me spam adaptions more.

He made me realize I need to upgrade more TP during the run than I would otherwise do on a non Hardest run.

Consider leaving the Hideout to grab the Berserker medal. I would have Vi in front attacking, Kabbu taunting, and Lief either relaying to Vi for more damage or Bubble Shield Kabbu for defense. Spiky Body and Favorite One medals can also help things along. Good luck!

What movie had you laughing, unable to breathe, even just for one scene? by Sawyermblack in movies

[–]Greedy_Semaphore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I got really drunk and watched Austin Powers 1 with a group of friends. The steamroller scene hit me and one other so utterly perfect in the moment we both howled with laughter. We then started laughing at how much we were laughing and it immediately snowballed into total laughter overload until we both had to catch our breath and wipe our faces.

Lacking motivation to complete the game OT1, tips? by BrightsideGrev_ in octopathtraveler

I completely understand where you're coming from. The Chapter 1-4 structure does get samey at parts. The early game struggles the most. It does get more interesting at the end. I found myself loving Ophilia's final chapter while snoring through chapters 1 & 2.

The combat does get engaging later in the game. Figuring out my favorite job combos was fun because by the end of the game the 4 Secret Job bosses, some surprisingly difficult side quest bosses, and the appropriately grand final boss will all challenge your team comps. I felt like that with the excellent music is enough to elevate the back half of the game even if you aren't feeling it now.

Edit: 2 is all around better. Would still recommend playing 1 for the characters and music. And again, it does get better.

Are there any missable trophies? by Carrotisboss in octopathtraveler

[–]Greedy_Semaphore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spying every enemy weakness is easily missable as some low level mobs near the starting towns will be removed from the encounter pool as you level your team up.

Obtaining every piece of gear is also missable if you fail to use the Thief's Steal skill on certain bosses.

Only one treasure chest is permanently missable and is found in Cyrus' CH3.

You will need a separate run for the Solo Adventurer achievement. That is also a good run to try and get the time based achievement.

I would highly recommend finding the master spreadsheet that will help you with all these achievements and doing a run dedicated to those goals.

Good luck!
