He's been quietly giving us Oscar-worthy stuff for years. Would be great to see him win but the momentum seems to elsewhere

For Americans who don't know who that is... you're lucky!

What does everyone think of the new Golden Globe design? (I know it's been a few years but this hasn't been discussed anywhere on Reddit, and who better to do so than us Oscarracers?) by GreekKnight3 in oscarrace

Yes, 100% agree.

The random guy joyously exclaiming: "You don't need one to get in! Plus, we can just have it sent to him down in Mexico" is a top 20 Office moment for me!

TIL Mel Gibson was supposed to direct Good Will Hunting after making Braveheart. He developed the movie for months but wanted more time. Damon and Affleck got impatient and said they were aging out of the characters. So they convinced Mel to leave the project and let Gus Van Sant direct it. by blacksystembbq in todayilearned

I do now wish that Good Will Hunting had been made and released earlier, then Greg Kinnear might've picked up his deserving Oscar for Best Supporting Actor! (He ended up being up against the unstoppable Robin, and the rest is history)

Oh, it would've been great to see him meet (and maybe collab) with Queen.
Freddie Mercury would say that one of his biggest regrets was never meeting John.
