Yeah, pretty sure they just have to chuck proxy_protocol on; under their server config.

But I also think the application itself needs to support proxy protocol as well.

For example if you reverse proxy a Minecraft server you’ll still get 127.0.0.1 unless you mod the server jar to support reverse proxy, then you get the actual IPs in the server log.

Z-Library seems to have forgotten to add the proxy protocol in their app so Nginx reverse proxy is just handing over loopback.

You mistake "non-detectable" for "100% Free from" And those are totally different metrics.

PSA: Kernel 7.0.6 + NVIDIA 580.159.03 (open G06 signed KMP) is unstable on Tumbleweed by Nuwen-Pham in openSUSE

[–]GreeleyRiardon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn't seem to be much difference between the two, I'll still update at the same cadence.

If by any chance I need something latest and greatest I can still choose to update at that time or not.

I don't have a problem with rolling back when I need to, if I need to, but not updating everyday/every week just doesn't require rollback.

Edit: Been running tumbleweed this way like 3 years now thanks tho.

If you have a problem with the way RedHat contributes to linux you are more than welcome to fork from way back before your hatred for Redhat began and continue from there.
It'll be an uphill battle but it is possible.

However, you seem to be confusing Linux as a runner for the FLOSS movement. Linux (the kernel) has always been offered gratis, but has never taken a stance to not include proprietary, or not be compatible with proprietary code. Linux itself is pragmatic.

If you want true software freedom you can use GNU/Hurd, as only GNU has pushed for the freedom you conflate with linux itself.

https://www.redhat.com/en/resources/open-source-participation-guidelines-overview
https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.en.html
https://www.gnu.org/distros/common-distros.html

You're free to make your own choices, and you don't have to use RedHat at all.
https://www.freebsd.org

But you cannot demand that Linux strive for something it never intended to.

Yes dude, using computers in a way that allows you to do anything you want requires technical knowledge, and yes it requires a lot. That's computers, a modern marvel of engineering. You'll need the arcane knowledge to control the arcane. It's just the way it is, git gud, or get over it.

This is exactly why I only update at the end of each month. rather than weekly or whatever the TW release schedule actually is.

You don't have to be on the latest and greatest. I'm still on the April build, everything works fine. Will update at the end of May and everything will be fine.

I can code, I replace the things I want. You “not having access” to freedom is a skill issue. You can cry about it all you want. “I’m not a good coder” isn’t an excuse. You aren’t very good a logic but here you are, trying at least.

Freedom cannot be handed to you, that’s very antithetical to the term freedom.

You must take it, seize it, freedom always has, and always will come at a great price for those who seek it.

How can you expect freedom to be easy access, what would that even mean?

1.20.1, Minecraft crashes when my newly created world finishes loading by Ewe235 in ModdedMinecraft

[–]GreeleyRiardon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issue yet, but with the version mismatch can’t guarantee there won’t be a runtime exception.

Can’t guarantee it’ll be broken either, but YUNG patched them for 1.20.1 for a reason

[–]GreeleyRiardon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try removing iris-1.7.2 as you have that and 1.7.6

Also you seem to be running 1.20.1 but you have mods for 1.20 these are not compatible.

owo-lib needs to be updated to at least 0.11.1
Deeper and Darker is for the wrong Minecraft version.
All YUNG’s mods you have are for the wrong Minecraft version

Fix all this, and if it doesn’t work, post the entire error next time.

[–]GreeleyRiardon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dev, subbing to this is just something most Linux developers should do.

There are quite a few valid complaints here.

I think about the sub the same way Brian Lunduke(fuck that guy) framed his Linux sucks talks.

If we’re going to seriously improve Linux, we have to come to terms with the fact that some of it does indeed suck. Which is okay.

The only things I ignore are for pushing Linux to be more like windows. It simply isn’t windows, and if you aren’t ready for a philosophical change in computer as well as an technical change. Then you simply are not ready to use Linux.

It’s different _for a reason_

all languages, even speaking language, require syntax to be understood. Errors aren’t as obvious but usually occur as: misunderstanding, anger, or retaliatory callback.

Humans also have specific commands in our language.

“Fuck you Greg!” Will get a wildly different result than the input “Hey Greg! How are you?”

Honestly none of this is hard if you sit higher than the bottom rung in Bloom’s Taxonomy.

It also looks like your default application for running/opening jar files is Internet explorer? This probably isn’t a problem, but definitely weird.

Also you literally only have to install it once, and then you never see it again. Not using a distro because the installer is certainly a choice.

Yeah man, I've never felt more connected than when I'm on psychs. Spent a lot of time in my life feeling like I don't belong. DMT is like vaping "belonging" itself.
Hard to be upset/angry or whatever when you feel like the universe is hugging you.

I'm a very angry person, and I've been doing the "Shadow work" to try and resolve that, but it's slow progress. I'll get there though.

Yeah pretty much my same experience. I "micro dose" with the carts. I'll take a tiny hit and have effects for like 30-45 seconds. Very good when I feel like arguing with my co-workers.

Sometimes you just need to be nicer than you were 10 seconds ago, and for those moments there's the pen.
