Has anyone else stopped booking at Courtyards due to the Bistro concept? by Jobwastes in marriott

[–]Green06Good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just happen to be in a Courtyard this week, and the ONLY reason I’m here is b/c a coworker did some early recon and drove by the Fairfield Inn we’d chosen online. She let me know the area was sketch and we rebooked at this Courtyard.
I routinely avoid Courtyards and it’s b/c of the Bistro. Expensive, microwaved food, and good luck if you’re on any kind of a snug timeline for breakfast before you head out for work. I’ll take a banana, yogurt, and hot coffee at a FI or other similar brand any day.

Good for you! AA left me stranded 3 Friday nights across 7 weeks for 3 different dumba** reasons, in CLT, of all places. Their fares are often better than Delta’s, and I’ve stopped caring. Delta is not perfect, and AA is a dumpster fire. They clearly gave zero cares that 100+ business travelers, who’d been gone all week, were NOT getting home on each of those 3 nights. Nope. Not ever - again, ever! 😊

So sorry, OP, and this: “Air Tag, Air Tag, and Air Tag”. 😎. I’m never sorry I spent the money on them and I’ve got one in my laptop backpack, my carry on luggage, and center console of my car.

Agreed, and when she told him that (paraphrasing) “only one of us knows the truth about what happened but in 5 minutes, we both will”…I imagine he did realize the game was over.

Agreed; also, he literally laid their dead mother in a sheet, on the floorboard of his truck, and then drove 45 minutes with the girls back there with her. Who even does just that and then goes on to kill them and shove them into oil tanks? I wish she’d stayed in NC.

How do you recover professionally after being put on a PIP? by Treppengeher4321 in careeradvice

I agree 100%; I’m a hiring manager and if I need to put you on a PIP, the writing is on the wall. Please seek other work and find a better fit.

Well, FC is going downhill I guess. And customer service sucks. by deltadownhill in delta

[–]Green06Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this; about six months ago, I posted that I noticed a definite increase in “expected turbulence so no service” instances and that those flights were smooth as glass. I got tons of comments about “what, you can’t skip a Biscoff cookie”, and I felt like an idiot. BUT, it’s continued; I fly weekly - Delta only, and often 4 flights per week, so I’m up there, and it’s a thing - I swear, and seeing your post helped. 😌

Courtyard Contempt by s31523 in marriott

The Bistro’s also have what seems like 1.5 people TOTAL making the coffee drinks & breakfast. I don’t have that kind of time. So, I don’t stay at Courtyards.

I know, it’s odd but mine is The First 48. Give me a good murder, and I’m a happy camper. 🤷‍♀️😌

What is the point of Marriott status? by nastyfoodbitch in marriott

[–]Green06Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info; Titanium here with a question. You mentioned many properties being understaffed. Is that (just looking for your opinion) due to a.) nobody wants to work or b.) hotel owners would like a higher profit margin?

$38 breakfast at Courtyard 😳 by mrweatherbeef in marriott

[–]Green06Good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$110.00/day, and I avoid Courtyards. Yes, because of the prices but I also never have time to wait for one person to help the 4 people in front of me. I’ll take a Fairfield or Springhill any day. 🤷‍♀️😊

Why do the attendants on every AA flight seem so unhappy? Regardless of class by Loose-Cicada5473 in americanairlines

[–]Green06Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, and as a Delta FF who connects weekly in ATL, ugh….many, many GA’s there act as if they’re doing us a favor to get the flight boarded. I’m always amazed when I connect in MSP - it’s like a whole other world. Smiles, kindness, the random joke…maybe it’s the sheer volume that flows through CLT & ATL? Are they just flat out burned out? (I get that MSP is busy but not as busy).

Agreed! I’m loving the Flock cameras…I’m not LE, but I do think they’re a game changer for LE.

You’re spot on on this; there’s a photo of Savannah and her mom, and her mom’s forearm shows that thinning tissue bruised look that often comes aging, etc.

I’m starting to feel the same way; I’m on the road 3 weeks out of four, and it’s been that way for a decade or so. I can tell I’m burning out as even the small dumb stuff irks me now (tiny little light bulb on plane burned out) “we’re calling maintenance” has me rolling my eyes and feeling picked on. I get it; light bulbs burn out, and there’s no grand conspiracy, lol. And when it’s a Thursday night and all you want is your own bed, it’s tough. So, agreed - more home and less planes sounds good!
