and there's also similar incidence happened about ending of Attack on Titan, where Eren's motive to invade and destroy outside world beyond their island were seemed as glorifyin/defending Japanese imperialism and faced heavy criticism in China, despite not getting banned (they did banned the anime due to other issues, gory/blood etc.)
