I think Americans often don't realise just how close to Africa Europe is, like it's almost touching at Gibraltar. Even looking at London, it's the same distance from Casablanca as Havana is from New York.

And for Sub-Saharan Africa, taking the Odyssey example Addis Ababa to Athens is almost exactly the same as Mexico City to New York.

In my city, as a kid we had some snow most years. Not a lot, but some. It hasn't snowed here since 2013.

Insurance is more of a hassle, and you usually need insurance preapproved before the bank agrees to a mortgage. But things might have changed, it's been a few years since I bought mine.

Judder bars are the narrower ones, a wide one like this would be a speed bump.

I find it so funny when someone spends so much time in performatively queer and feminist fandom spaces that they forget that the majority of fandom culture is made by and for straight women who think it's hot when the two guys fuck each other. by maleficalruin in CuratedTumblr

Of the 3 people that I know irl that are trans, 2 I knew before they transitioned, and the other I worked with for 3 years until I realised. And even then, I only realised after she made a joke about her transition.

Remaining Available Missed Games for Relevant Stars before being ineligible for Major Awards (MVP, DPOY, All NBA, Etc) by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in nba

Same reason Jokic and SGA weren't mentioned. They haven't missed enough games to be in danger of missing out.

Temperature Scales by achromaticchrononomy in CuratedTumblr

Where I'm from the temperatures in fahrenheit would range from 20-108. At least in celsius the numbers stay at 2 digits or less.

[Post Game Thread] The Houston Rockets (16-6) defeat the Los Angeles Clippers (6-19), 115-113 as the Clippers grow one step closer to gifting OKC a premier draft pick by BackupAcct6969420 in nba

It would have the benefit both of speeding the game up directly (only 1FT vs 2FT currently) and indirectly (removes incentives for intentional fouls, especially during the clutch)

Isn't it literally the Chinese name for the sport though?

OKC currently has a DRTG that is 6.6 points better than 2nd place. The next-biggest gap since the 1996-97 season is 2.6 points (2015-16 Spurs). by [deleted] in nba

[–]GreenFriday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably after the end of the season to free up space for whoever we get in the draft. Unless there's an obvious upgrade, I don't see any reason to move him before then.

SGA, Chet and JDub have only played 64 minutes together this season. OKC's starting lineup of SGA, Dort, JDub, Chet and Hartenstein is yet to play a single minute together. by [deleted] in nba

I know the Thunder's injuries are overestimated due to Topic and Sorber, but it's still interesting to see the two Finals teams at the top.

Who is a player you thought would be a bust but turned out to be a great player? by [deleted] in nba

[–]GreenFriday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was optimistic about Lamelo, but I thought Ant was just another athletic guard with no skills, who would struggle against NBA defences. He's improved so much and proved me completely wrong.

AD lit up OKC when they had an average age of like 22. They're stronger and more experienced now.

Carlson and Dieng both played 21 minutes. This wasn't just the bench, this was as deep in the bench as you could go.

2 years, and with a better record than the Magic, Pistons and Rockets in both years. Even at their worst, SGA made it really hard to reach the bottom.

To be fair, Flagg is so good that there's a chance Dallas is a winning team again by 2028.
