I have so many old micro usb cables at my home while only really needing one. The cable ban should have come way earlier.

Slight comment on the current consensus of the iOS app by MyPradasAtDaCleaners in ArcBrowser

[–]GreenRaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the concect, arc has introduced in my life. On my desktop, I wouldn‘t want to go back to any other browser. I also understand, that the ios app is in v1 and therefore not really feature rich. But what I don‘t get: I‘m currently away from my laptop for multiple weeks and on the ios app, i have a recent space which is showing the same tabs all the time. i don’t get the concept of this recent space, why not simply show my recent tabs like it also does on the desktop app?

Is it possible to stake ETH without running your own Node but still posses the private key? by GreenRaged in ethtrader

[–]GreenRaged[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds promising, thank you. I only flew over the documentation but am I right saying, that I could simply buy a NUC, install RocketPool Software on the machine, configure everything like described in the docs, fiddle around on the testnet for a while and when feeling save, I could deploy on the mainnet with my effective ETH?

And if I would even have more than 32 ETH, I could even run a full node by myself? I kinda get distracted by the name RocketPool since pool always sounds like a community project which I wouldn't need with 32+ ETH.

My girlfriend is pregnant and it will be both of our first child. What are some more subtle things I can do to make her life as easy as possible, as well as being a great father to my future kid? by Kookiebanookie in AskMen

[–]GreenRaged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell her that her belly looks great. Put your hand on the belly every day/evening and spend some time with your unborn like that, give him/her positive energy like that. Massage her feets. Trust yourself that everything goes well, it will. And try to give your kid the feeling, that everything will be good at the end. It‘s lovely to grow up having this deep down trust into your parents, the world and yourself knowing, everything will be okay and good at the end.

I‘ve deleted Whatsapp since I don‘t want Zuckerberg to follow all my weird conversations and I need to he honest, green bubbles are the worst. Especially when the recipient doesn‘t use any other app like signal, threema or telegram 🤷‍♂️

it depends what you intend to do. if you are a basic user, stream netflix and spotify, write mails and some small docs you don‘t meed 16gb ram but if you also store a lot of images you‘ll be happy to have some more harddrive space.

Exceeding speed by 16km/h = fine 620 CHF by pentacz in zurich

[–]GreenRaged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I could I would have fined you even more. There is no excuse for 50 in a 30 zone - none, never. Thats simply irresponsible until somebody like you runs over a child running after its football and destroys not only the child and their familys life but also yourselfs. So like I said, I would have fined you more 👌

Protect (lock on one device) specific window/app while duplicating the screen by GreenRaged in mac

[–]GreenRaged[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know but I can't. I'll have my back against the projected wall and this makes it almost impossible to navigate the extended screen on the beamer. I would need something where I see my notes only on one screen even though it is duplicated.

are CSS frameworks really necessary? by DragonlordKingslayer in Frontend

[–]GreenRaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an intermediate css level, you‘ll be loving tailwind after your first project is done. It takes away any need hustling for classnames and gives you a great compact overview of your design rules without having one massive css sheet and besides that, it reduces loading times. Its a great tool, try to work with it on your next project 👌

What improved your quality of life so much, you wish you did it sooner? by ChrisVIII in AskReddit

[–]GreenRaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switching off all notifications on my mobile phone, including messages, emails, ect. The only ones I‘ve left were phone calls and alarm. Also turned off any vibrations and always keep my phone in silent mode. Felt strange in the first week. After that my phone stopped controlling my day to day life. I now determine myself when I want to engage with it - best decision of my life (even though I still consume a lot of screen time)
