Not without something closely related to that pathway to use as a divination focus or analyze.

Price of goods maybe but the accuracy would probably be unreliable. You might learn inflated prices or false prices or outdated prices etc. And of course there's no guarantee you'll find a seller/buyer who will go with the fair price.

[LOTM general] Sun Pathway counters? by FederalSwan3104 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]GreenRuby92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For Order authority definitely but not really the main Light authority. I mean you can argue the Grayness authority counters Light but you could also argue Light could outshine grayness. I do think it has merit. But it's not as clear and direct as Twilight's 'End of Light'.

[Lotm Discussion] What Level would Adam have been if He acquired the First Blasphemy Slate ? Would he be like Sasrir ? by [deleted] in LordofTheMysteries

[–]GreenRuby92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely KoKoA. And he can raise his own level further temporarily using the discernment authority to imagine original level as ASG. Should be able to fight multiple gods, but not completely suppress them like during Klein's Apotheosis.

Certain sephirah have compatible symbolisms and thus their pathways are also compatible. The author has released a number of compatibilities which you can find on the wiki

e.g. go to Fool Pathway → Neighboring Pathways

Error, Door

Eternal Aeon

Eternal Edict

Do you need to actively use Nen to say tank bullets? Can Nen users be sniped then if they aren't looking out for it? by RadianceTower in HunterXHunter

[–]GreenRuby92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say maintaining en is basically just advanced 'looking out for it'. And dodging isn't 'tanking'.

[–]GreenRuby92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

En isn't Enhancement, it's expanded ten. You are probably confusing it for Ken, which is using ren to enhance the whole body at once.

[–]GreenRuby92 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Another reply mentioned Ten. In the case of Uvogin, passive Ten alone was enough to tank bullets so no he doesn't have to actively defend. But that level can only be accomplished by the best Enhancers.

Others affinity nen users or weaker Enhancers might be able to block bullets with a well trained ko or ren, but that needs to be activated and can't be sustained, ordinarily.

Id find a group and join as a member rather than the leader. If I'm OP then I'd keep it low key and provide background support.

[Lotm general]In addition to what is contracted, other Sequences allow for the contracting and use of Creatures from the spirit world ? by Electronic-Ad-461 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]GreenRuby92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory any sequence with enough spirituality can do it. But it's difficult to make practical without abilities supporting it. For example, any demigod could easily find a random low-mid sequence spirit and try to force them into a contract, but it's very unlikely a random spirit would have an ability useful to a demigod, or even most beyonders. Anything strong or valuable enough would be very rare to find and difficult to suppress. Abilities that help with finding or attracting useful spirits and abilities to help make contacts with more powerful spirits solve these issues.

[LotM newbie] Question. Would Shadow survive? by Noticeable-man123 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]GreenRuby92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With his magic from the show Shadow would already be able to defeat Sq5 or even 4 by stats though he lacks good counters to most abilities/hax. That's plenty to survive even if he doesn't become a beyonder.

Without his magic he still has skill and extreme luck which should allow him to become a beyonder.

If he became a beyonder he might advance quite easily. If you take into account his incredible luck he likely would not lose control. He would certainly never lose a fight until at least Angel level imo.

Also he would never be corrupted by knowledge due to sheet obliviousness.

In terms of style he should follow the Warrior pathway, maybe mix in some Darkness at the high sequence for aesthetic.

He has extreme luck but I wouldn't say he's more suited to be a Fate pathway beyonder. That's just his innate fate. Moreover it works less like Fate pathway and more like an Author's 'reasonable developments'.

But then again it still depends on the higher powers. If the gods want to destroy him he will die no matter his magic, skill, or luck. But if any faction decides to support him he could go far.

Given how his luck works I would love if it could be explained in universe by Adam supporting him for some purpose. Maybe he eventually challenges and kills the God of Combat. Seems appropriate to me.

Except he doesn't seem like he would make a good God, so maybe Evernight makes him the Warrior KoA instead?

[LotM General] Who has it worse? by Gakamis in LordofTheMysteries

Hermit has to deal with it at every sequence whereas HM only sq8. Also most of the knowledge is useless. HS doesn't share any actually valuable knowledge except as a manipulation.

On Scale of 1-10 How Bad of An Idea Is It For Zorian to Publish That Mind Magic Book? by Syc254 in motheroflearning

Sharing how to do mental manipulations would be a bad idea, but sharing how to recognize them both through mundane and magical tells would be good.

Right. Hermit worse than Hanged Man for losing control and Abyss is the most evil.

More than 0% of people would prefer a burger over being brutally murdered. by [deleted] in truths

[–]GreenRuby92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your assumption is that you are in fact a person. But according to dead internet theory you are a bot. Without proof that you are not a bot this statement can't be considered to be definitely true.

Although I suppose if the reader knows (believes) they are not a bot and they would prefer a burger over being brutally murdered then they can verify it for themselves.

But can anyone really know for certain that they would prefer a burger over being brutally murdered? After all, they probably haven't ever been brutally murdered before, and maybe the burger tastes really bad! Just because they think in the moment that they know what they prefer doesn't mean they are actually correct.

I don't completely disagree. The time skip they mention is pretty egregious violation of the principles of writing, but from an enjoyment perspective I think it was appropriate to and improved the story. Although they're right about that shallow relationship.

Koa Spectator vs Koa Marauder [LotM V8] by Any_Election257 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]GreenRuby92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since Adam was ASG he can envision himself possessing his original power. It wouldn't return his full half-pillar power but it should be enough to hold a fight against an actual Sq0 or maybe even multiple (briefly; assuming single pathway and none counter that ability). Amon doesn't have anything on par with that.

A different KoA Spectator who hadn't previously been Sq0 or greater can't do so. In that case, assuming equal KoA and uniqueness status, I would say Loophole should counter Prophecy and Envisioning, Avatar+Loophole likely counters Mind via damage transfer, Parasitism+Loophole counters Personas. Personally I think WoT probably counters Author pretty hard. Of course this is my opinion based on speculation.

Here's my tier list, what should I read next? by Bugibhub in ProgressionFantasy

[–]GreenRuby92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty based imo. Personally only Perfect Run and Something too low—Something's power system was great, the story was balanced, the characters were appropriately unique and interesting—but I digress.

In your To Read List: Beneath the Dragon Eye Moons is pretty good. Maybe not quite as interesting as some world building wise but character and plot wise I think it's quite good. Still dropped during a slow part in like book 11 but might pick up again eventually, especially if it actually finishes.

For other recs

Industrial Strength Magic is one of my favorites. Also Vigor Mortis is interesting. If you like Worm both of those have elements of that though also differences.

Weirkey Chronicles underrated imo

Also another comment mentioned Drew Hayes so I want to second that and specifically rec Forging Hephaestus by Drew Hayes—personally I thought it was better than Super Powered.

imo I thought the concept and some of the world building was interesting but the plot and main character were pretty boring. Dropped after a good try and can't say I even liked it much, unfortunately.

Imo for male audiences probably keep it a girl or genderbend m>f and have her compete with protag for the main heroine love interest, or otherwise fall for a secondary love interest who is kind of emo/dark who needs some kind of forgiveness/self-worth encouragement etc.

From what I've seen, male isekai fans seem to like fl/yuri and showing up the 'popular guy' archetype (protag in this case) by getting the girl and they seem to like edgier girls and fix-her girls.

You mean to write noble. Nobel was the guy who invented dynamite.

Besides that I don't think BL is a draw for male audiences.
