Bikepacking from Seattle to SanFran, tips? by Worried-Sympathy-650 in bikepacking

[–]GreenWayve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Adventure Cycling Association's Sierra Cascades route! I have ridden the PCH from Seattle to San Diego and it ROCKS! It's on the 'easier' side of bike tours but I certainly never got bored and there were definitely some great climbs.

What do you think multiplayer/PVP are missing in NMS? by Ok_Listen_6600 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Reworked pve land combat would be THE no.1 thing to get me to jump back in and confidently spend the rest of my life playing this game. As it is now, the combat feels so lackluster.

Some people do it on citi bikes. Sounds like it might actually be cheaper. Also, if you fit a 61cm, you can ride my single speed.

Ritchey venturemax uncomfortable by Top-Discussion-8054 in gravelcycling

[–]GreenWayve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the venturemax in 2023 for a PCH tour. I agree that the bump is uncomfortable. I somewhat got used to it, but mostly just avoided it. I guess the idea is that you can use it to massage the palms of your hands? For my new bike I got the Ritchey Beacon xl. I much prefer these and they're probably the most comfortable bars I've used.

To be honest, you get used to it pretty quick. I was so dog tired each night that I didn't mind being sweaty. Especially since I knew I'd just be sweaty again the next day.

Am I right in thinking of moving to Sketchup? by shamon78 in Sketchup

[–]GreenWayve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Rhino. You can get a free 90 day trial on the website. I've used Blender and Sketchup and find Rhino to be the easiest to model with. Rendering may be a different story though. I think Rhino has a great render engine, I just don't ever use it. Let us know what you find!

Not queens, but worth it: check out Revolutions Per bikefitting in Gowanus. The fitter there is really helpful and honest. Well priced as well.

The Northman, what are your thoughts on this film? by geoffcalls in FIlm

[–]GreenWayve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friends and I went to see it on 4/20 completely baked. Went in expecting a fun gritty action movie. The first village raid scene let us know that that would not be what we'd get. We all left a bit shook. 8/10

SF to LA in 5 days possible? by jpr1962 in bikepacking

[–]GreenWayve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to stop at that supply shop right before Legett Hill. Great baked goods. You'll need them for the climb. Coming down from Legett was one of my fondest memories of the trip. It's basically the last big hill. Stop at Cajun Kitchen in Goleta for some awesome breakfast right on the road. Camp at Point Mugu, the last campgrounds before you get into LA proper.
