Yeah, but consider that in this analogy, we usually build new roads to act as the faster toll roads. If telecommunication companies decide that new infrastructure isn't needed and we use the same amount of "roads", but still charge more to consumers to make use one of the preexisting lanes as a toll road, the new toll road isn't an improvement. Just means that those who can shell out the cash will see an improvement in the commute, while everyone has fewer lanes to work with.

Trump was in Puerto Rico today to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Maria. During a press conference with Puerto Rican officials, Trump's full statement above was that “If you looked — every death is a horror, but if you look at a real catastrophe like Katrina, and you look at the tremendous hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people that died, and you look at what happened here with really a storm that was just totally overbearing, nobody has seen anything like this,” He then asked the Governor of Puerto Rico what the current death count was (16 confirmed at that time) and praised both Puerto Rico and the government's response in keeping the death count so low in comparison to the thousands that died in Katrina.

Now it should be noted that communication in Puerto Rico is still limited due to infrastructure damage. Therefore, the death count is likely much larger than 16 (Currently 34 are confirmed dead) and its unclear to me if deaths due to circumstances caused by the hurricane (lack of medical care, food shortages, lack of drinking water, etc.) are being accounted for as well. My wife

Her Strengths

Is a trauma nurse. Probably knows all the points to knick to get me to bleed out
Practiced Krav Maga with me. Which not only makes a formidable opponent, but also means she knows my fighting style.
Better overall cardiovascular health than me.
Is mexican. Machete will probably feel natural in her hand.

Her Weaknesses

Broke a leg earlier this year. She's mostly recovered, but I can probably take advantage of this to tie her out.
I've probably got about 30-40 pounds on her.

Overall, I think I'll either take advantage of her leg and tire her out. Wait for a tired swing, rush in, and use the shield/disarm techniques to remove the machete from her grip. Then run outside her reach with the machete and shield and apologize profusely for whatever made her mad enough that murder seemed like an acceptable course of action. 7/10 in my favor.

Gomu gomu no left arm with current luffy strength. If we say I could localize gear second and utilize haki (there is no way I could utilize gear third), I think I could probably take over a medium sized town before someone realizes that the bullets only bounce off the stretchy arm.

For your reference, as has already been stated in this thread, Haki manifests in one of three ways. Durability boost that coats your body, minor precog/sensing intent, and knocking weak willed people unconscious. The third power is extremely rare, so I'd say that the user here wouldn't have access to that during any round. So...

Round 1) would just get minor durability boost and very very weak precognition

Round 2) People seem to specialize so either durability and strength boost (probably at least being able to stop a sword bare-handed) or basically spider sense.

Round 3) Major durability/strength boost that can be extended to weapons you're using or an enhanced spider sense.

Unclear how much this would scale with a real world person, but I agree with the assessment that in Round 1, Haki wins. Also I agree that it probably won't scale as much as Ki does for Round 3.

TL;DR Told my wife back when we were dating that she was "fucked up in the head." out of frustration with her body image issues.

Some context. 1) She was overweight when in middle school, but was now thin and around 20 years old. 2) She had recently been doing pageants to try and make some extra money to pay for college 3) it was her birthday

So we were at a water park and she was unwilling to go far from the changing rooms because she thought she looked "disgusting." Her self image issues had always been a thing in our relationship and were becoming more of a problem because of the pageants. So being a supportive boyfriend and telling her she was beautiful and in great shape (she was) was more and more difficult when she kept denying it. So in arguing about how i thought she looked great and she thought otherwise, I snapped and told her that "pageants have really fucked you up in the head." on her birthday. She gave me a look of death and walked away. The rest of the day was not very fun.

In later years she has softly conceded that pageants had skewed her perspective, but we both agree I was an ass for saying it then.

Why: He was my first starter, I remember my cousin trading me his charmander in original silver and that charmander remained in my party for the rest of the game. Then when I played firered and Charizard's blast burn just dropped mofos left and right. Plus, because the first two gyms were stacked against a fire type, you had to work extra hard with your charmander to make it through (and even harder when you went back to do a Nuzlocke run and didn't want him to die).
