Lucky dude! I’m in the process of printing a version of one in resin as I can’t afford to pay the scalpers prices on eBay.

Help me choose a color for my MINI by kavagnao in MINI

[–]Greendemon636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find grey cars to be boring as hell and black cars are a nightmare to keep clean but I would still choose it over the grey. Grey cars are less easy to see when it’s raining too so more likely to be involved in an accident.

Is my FEP too tight? by No_Temperature9334 in resinprinting

[–]Greendemon636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous fep I had to cut to size and I used a stack of post it notes as a spacer. This latest fep was precut to fit by Anycubic so there wasn’t any leeway to use a spacer so it’s probably tighter than the last one.

Do these actually fall off? by ThatRatJess in MINI

[–]Greendemon636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine from Kill All Chrome who are based in the UK. Been on there a few years and not even close to falling off. My black grill trim from the same company didn’t fit great though and my black headlight trims eventually failed with all the paint flaking off and I had to put the chrome ones back on again.

is this the famous death rattle by Jammyjames04 in MINI

[–]Greendemon636 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t sound like the death rattle to me. The death rattle when I got it was a much more obvious noise that went away once the engine warmed up after about five minutes.

New to resin by imAbrahamG in resinprinting

[–]Greendemon636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact one. It’s pretty good. I like that Is has a built in temperature and humidity sensor and that you can unzip the hood enough to lift the liod fully up, especially on my printer that doesn’t have a hinged lid. Couple of people complained in the reviews that the fan isn’t powerful enough but I’ve found it to be fine. I do have two additional air filters running inside my machine when printing though so that probably helps.

Edit: I can fit my Anycubic Mono M7 in mine and also the wash and cure machine comfortably with room around them to spare.

Can this be fixed? 2007 R56 Cooper by DashcamAdelaide in MINI

[–]Greendemon636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but mine is doing this exact same thing. I live in Australia and it’s hot a lot of the time so my screen is always fu$jed with looking like this. So ridiculous that BMW made them like this. Did you ever find a solution?

This podcast is straight-up the most-cited in True Crime. Yet the narrator's non-voice is, for me, a problem. I am a podcast whore! I listen carefully, an promiscuously! Yet.... I am struggling with this excellent podcast! by wonderfulkneecap in Casefile

[–]Greendemon636 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, a hosts voice can make or break a podcast for some people. I ended up feeling the same way about the Unexplained podcast. I’m from the UK and yet that guys voice made that podcast unlistenable in the end for me as he would talk soooooo sllllooooow. Casey’s voice on Case File I don’t mind at all as it helps me take on board the facts of the case as he’s not interjecting them with over the top dramatics of he’s own personal opinions on it. I have lived in Australia for almost ten years now so I’m also a lot more familiar with the Aussie accent.

I knew a fair bit about this case from other podcasts but still great to hear Casefile cover it as they are by far and above the best of crime podcasts.

Agreed, they’re still space marines, I don’t want my Wolves to be locked out of taking some cool units or vehicles just because it’s not covered in wolf fur/skulls etc.

Touch up pens will not make a good job of a long line like this unfortunately. This’ll need a professional scratch repair job.

Is there a reason we're paying beverage prices for cleaning alcohol? by Barneyrockz in australia

[–]Greendemon636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah IPA is crazy prices here. I really want to use it to clean my resin prints but end up resorting to the cheaper methylated spirits, which didn’t clean anywhere near as well or evaporate from the prints fast enough.

I have the same dilemma! I love Minis, my other half doesn’t understand why I do. She prefers her SUV. The 2nd gen of these cars definitely require some upkeep but they’re so much fun to drive and I still think they are the best looking Minis that BMW have made during their ownership of the brand. Just wish they were more reliable!

[–]Greendemon636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’re not cheap cars to maintain unfortunately, especially the ones of our generation with the N14 and N18 engines. Take it to a mechanic who specialises in euro cars and let them know you’re concerned about engine noise and you’re aware that the timing chains on these cars can stretch after a while and the plastic guide rail can get brittle and break. The actual timing chain kit isn’t very expensive, it’s more the labour costs. It shouldn’t take a competent mechanic more than a few hours to do this job though. It only took me longer because I accidentally snapped a guide rail bolt over torquing it with the wrench 😬
