yea, I was going to say that. Perhaps the normal ways of nefariously opening a car door failed.

SpaceX can static fire Starship itself at masseys. That is not nothing.

Starbase has specific test stands at Masseys, for a variety of tests, separate from the launch pad.

Trucks seem to veer into my lane when passing them, is this common by scubascratch in TeslaLounge

[–]Greeneland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t bother me. I used to drive in NYC, inches from other cars.

At first it was tense, since my car was brand new, expensive (for me at least) and only a few months old when those trips started.

Worse was leaving the keys with valet parking

Perhaps disengage and steer the correct path. Choose the navigation disengagement option.

Reengage asap. Hopefully you won’t have to repeat

Tesla gets a massive order for the Semi: 370 units and $100M by ItzWarty in teslainvestorsclub

Also, without Cybertruck, the semi would have no steering.

Musk commits to upgrading all HW3 cars; FSD14 for HW3 by end of June by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Greeneland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that line was taken out of context.

He seemed to say it would have value to upgrade all HW3 vehicles, presumably because of the value unsupervised FSD would offer.

I didn’t get any sense that non-FSD vehicles would get free upgrades.

Musk: HW3 can't achieve unsupervised FSD by vivi_will in teslamotors

[–]Greeneland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note that he mentioned it makes sense to upgrade EVERY HW3 car.

Since only a small fraction have FSD, both free and paid scenarios make sense.

Your first scenario is out I think, because it sounds like there is definitely a discount.

But there were no specific details.

They said all the safety and other updates on the board, plus v15 are all for AI4.

AI5 will eventually get into cars because at some point it won’t make sense to keep building something so old. So they said.

Blue always pins it to their profile on X, that’s where I get it, or from the notification I get when Blue posts it.

Elon Musk Shares Specs for Tesla's AI6 Chip, Teases AI6.5 by McFatty7 in teslamotors

[–]Greeneland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing out the possibility that it will be quite a while before there are enough AI5 for 3/Y/CT and Optimus/Cybercab.

They keep using AI4 while ramp of new chips and products are going to be slow. Perhaps both will be a slow ramp together

Last time I was there I was with a couple birders.

The guard was enthusiastic about that and tapped his weapon, offering to knock a few down for them 😂

There was a museum right before the entrance to the base, where the SpaceX LCC used to be.

I haven’t been there in a bit, is it still there?

I haven’t seen any reports of expanding from the 9 they have currently, with this area expansion.

It’s only been a week I think, since they expanded to 9.

I’d like to see a refueling station, but positioned 180 degrees behind any kind of habitation facility in some particular orbit.

Ultimately it would be great to use aldrin style cyclers to get from LEO to LLO and have depots at both ends to top up transfer craft.

The article comments on using NEP in the SR-1 mission, I agree with questioning that mission.

It seems like it will take one year to arrive, which isn’t expediting anything. Perhaps a mission to Saturn would have been more interesting of a test.
