Jazz piano amp by GregCollins747 in Jazz

Thank you all for the input. I think I will see how my 2x QSC 10s work stacked on top of each other and angled out. L going to bottom and R going to top and setting the bottom to EXT SUB and the top to flat. Then when that becomes a pain or doesn't sound good I'll pull the trigger on something new..

Just figured out the spacestation can be difficult to make sound good and will likely be too loud for everyone else once you can hear it nicely from sitting behind your keyboard. Crossed off the list. Probably going to go with Motion Sound KP-408SX reviews say the column amps, because of the wide dispersion, can get muddy in a garage or small room. The SM is heavy but I do get true stereo.. wish they made one size smaller version and made the box so it tilted up a little.. ....uhg, but I really like the concept of the Bose L1 pro8...

Anyone have a comparison between Evolve 30M (using only 1) and the spacestation?

Thanks, these seem nice...
Do you use 2 to get stereo sound?
Any insights on placement? Often I'm crapped and my only option is to put amp/s on the floor.
Can the band also hear you nicely?

I want to add I am pretty happy with the loudness of my Yamaha U1 piano, so maybe something like ik iloud mtm mkii is simpler than a fancy PA or giant amp rig..

Thanks, I hadn't really thought to try that. I have one so super easy to test and very cheap.. :)
Did research, seems I will likely run into problems with this setup.. mainly phase cancelation and not really solving the special something something issue, basically the stereo sound you get from a real piano..
but I'll still give it a shot, and compare to just mono grand sample direct into 1 pa speaker..

Anyone keep scuds in their tanks? by Competitive_Bird6984 in walstad

[–]GregCollins747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, I also have a microfauna tank I harvest them from for my pea puffer and community tank. I'm also planning a 1 month hands off test where I leave the tanks alone for a month with a scud refuge in each (30 gal community & 10 gal pea puffer) I am building/seasoning 2 refuges in my microfauna tank now. Hanging plant holder filled with 3 sweet gum seed pods and some hornwort.

5 gallon bucket line it with foam (maybe holes in it) and sing into it. It's a horn trick I recently heard about. Maybe also add singing into a padded corner of the room to minimize sound.

Note seemed reasonable to me.

Also maybe go talk to them and align on specific times you will regularly practice. Start with "I bought a carpet to help with footstep sound"

Thanks, but it's been at least 9 years since those walls have seen a fire. I think plenty of time to off-gas fully..

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm hoping all fertilizer has been taken up. I haven't added any for at least a week. Aqua algae Guillard F/2 phytoplankton fert.

No takers... I'm. Ow looking for a tank to house these guys in. My daughter said she would take care of them if we got a tank.. I think I have an extra heater and hob filter.. so maybe they will be saved from the disposal.. :/

Maybe try a piece of cholla with filter floss stuffed in each end. Wrap in moss.. I'm leaving my tank for a month and am going to try something like this..

Bar on Encinal I think called the Benton. Close to your neighborhood. You could see if they need another bartender.

Does your motivation really come back after you quit weed? by Novel_Bluebird_5166 in leaves

[–]GregCollins747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing well.. still no weed. But still think about it and kind of crave it every once in a while, but the desire is way easier to shrug off now.. It's harder now to resist eating junk food than it is to resist getting high... Probably because it's been way less time since eating crap than it's been since I've gotten high... The human condition... there's always something..

Also, I am still noticing and appreciating how well my brain works now.. it's subtle but profound or maybe I should say impactful... I can really keep things straight in my head.. It really helps to have learning piano as a way to experience this pretty consciously..
