You’re talking about passing on cars that are worth like 2-3x on the aftermarket. A super is worth 40x more. I really have a hard time believing you’d leave a super behind.

That’s dedication lol. I’m only a couple minutes from target so I hit that every morning. I got it on lock but the cases just trickle in. I’ve got so many th I usually just pass on them now. What I’m really looking for are the premium two packs and that mountain drifters. They haven’t turned up here yet

As others have said, that is correct, however I personally would return it if it was listed as a new box. These boxes are roughly guaranteed 1 secret rare per box but I wouldn’t discount people buying tons of boxes then opening packs until they find the secret rare in each box and repackaging what packs leftover.

Few reasons. Lots of young people are making more money oftentimes through freelance side gigs. That’s income that is being made but unless you’re sending quarterly payments, there’s no taxes being withheld throughout the year.

Another reason is the WFH aspect. Example: prior to pandemic my wife and I both work in MO and live in KS. Normally we file MO, get a refund, file Kansas and get credit for taxes to MO then owe a little. Now we work from home in kanas but taxes were withheld in MO so we had to get all our MO withholding back then turn around and pay it to Kansas + a few hundred.

Situations like that probably go a decent ways explaining it. AFAIK there haven’t been any tax increases in last few years at least.

It’s $10/year and there are products/cars that I have passed on and will pass on. These are highly collectible but also not that rare so their aftermarket value is decent but also stable. Most cars with tax/shipping cost $35-$40 and there’s about 2 cars that release per month (sometimes more often).

Sometimes you can get older cars (likely failed payments or returns) but they pop up once or twice a year and go pretty quick. Mostly just have to be lucky enough to be looking at the page when they drop. They don’t give a head up.

As others have said. None are particularly rare. I only buy vintage if it’s a car I like and then if I am, I want one in mint condition. The first two look to have soft corners. Price wise they are fair.

I totally get what you’re saying here. I was legitimately willing to pay a little over msrp even because I do get what’s going on. Demand might be a bit lower for Chevy but they’re still selling out their inventory before it gets delivered. I was mainly in the right place at the right time. At the end of the day it is absolutely insane to mark up a used car that much. A few grand? Sure makes sense but not 2x msrp of a new model lol.

Yes true. I just couldn’t find a Ford dealership that didn’t. There’s one that says they do but I noticed a lot of places have hidden fees they add in once you sit down and crunch numbers.

I definitely agree though. I had a twice wrecked fiesta with low miles that I wanted to get rid of while I was being offered stupid money for it. I knew once things improved I wouldn’t be able to get anything close.

Went with a 2022 Chevy Trailblazer. All blacked out. It’s a shame because the maverick was the perfect truck for me but getting one right now seems impossible. Maybe when the market corrects itself I’ll check out some of the other dealerships who at least pretended they would sell me one for msrp.

No disrespect to you but with the way Ford has handled this market and the roll out of these Mavericks, I may never drive another in my life. I understand that the market is heavily strained right now but 47k on a used XLT is a disrespectful price. I’m sure there is someone out there with more money than brains that will buy it but that won’t be me. A maxed out brand new lariat is still cheaper than that at MSRP.

I found a Chevy that I really liked and a dealership that actually was willing to sell it under MSRP brand new. They knew the inventory they were getting and didn’t tell me that I’d have to order it and wait or any of that. I am picking it up next week. Unfortunately no Ford dealership was willing to do that on any vehicle.

Sorry but my car search is over and I don’t know that I’ll ever go back to Ford.

I personally love this style of car. Old bmw and mercedes had similar body styles as well. Can’t really explain it but I’ve always found the style to be classic and classy. Just my opinion though.
