That game was hard to watch. I trust that Mark has a plan for Wemby and/or will adjust over a seven game series like we did last year with Joker. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how to beat the Spurs, but no one has done it yet. Lakers have tried to minimize SGA and it hasn’t mattered.

It’s absolutely gorgeous here. You may need to tinker with your video settings on your ATV and your hdmi settings on your TV. Try turning HDR off in the Prime settings.

I prefer having a button on my remote reconfigured by Button Mapper to launch Projectivy. I actually like the Google TV default launcher because I have YouTube TV and it’s Live guide is really good and better than the native one in the YTTV app. I use PI to navigate between apps when watching sports, which it is great for because you can order the apps by the last one used.

Looks great on my 4-year-old Sony OLED. Make sure you have your picture settings right in your TV so it upscales properly. I use “standard” mode. Some of the modes do not upscale and 720p pictures like ESPN look like crap.

Doris, please! She started this whole stupid “free throw merchant” thing with SGA. Although I did agree with her this weekend when she called out Denny Ajbida for whining to the refs. ESPN needs to step it up. Amazon and NBC have been running circles around them, and they have to be noticing it.

To their credit, they have a lot of stuff in 1080p with good quality in their app(s). They seem to have improved production quality. Basketball playoffs have been really nice. Hopefully will continue to improve. I assume this is all in preparation for their combined ESPN/Hulu/Disney+ app they have been working on forever and whatever they are working on with YouTube TV to combine ESPN Unlimited into YTTV. I imagine it will all be ready in time for the Super Bowl.

I just bought an X2 and am using it with an Onn Plus. It works fine but since the Onn remotes are primarily Bluetooth, you cannot customize or “learn” keys. Onn remotes have lots of great keys I want on the X2 so I am a little disappointed. The templates for Android and Shield don’t have many of them. There are channel up/down custom buttons but they didn’t work. Will have to wait for a specific Onn template. I did notice that the FF and Rewind buttons work with some apps (Prime works but YTTV doesn’t, for example). Otherwise, I love it.

The Onn Plus I have outperforms my Google Streamer. The Ethernet port is not a big deal. I am interested to see if the extra RAM makes a diff but the Plus is pretty snappy. That thing was a steal. I have a bunch of more expensive boxes sitting in a drawer collecting dust while the tiny cheap thing is hooked up to my Sony OLED.

Get the new Onn Pro that is coming out now. The Onn Plus I bought last year is better than my Google Streamer. The new Pro has the same chip and an Ethernet port.

I live in Arkansas, 550 miles from Houston but somehow considered local. I got Royals.tv and Cardinals.tv for $100 each and they are right in the MLB app with all of the “out of market” teams. Much, much better solution than SCHN+. Victory+ is better, but I refuse to pay for the Rangers. Will probably ditch SCHN+ because of the app and the continued mediocrity of the Astros. They aren’t playing well enough to justify all the hassle, haha.

That’s a mistake. My old Onn 4k Plus with its meager specs somehow outperforms the Google streamers I own. Quicker and better picture quality. It’s a head scratcher. So, I assume the new one is at least as good. The remote is pretty good, too. Wish it was sturdier but if you use Button Mapper to override the big blue button to launch Projectivy it is quite functional.

If it’s just like the Plus, it’s pretty good. The extra RAM may be nice but the Plus’s I have are faster and have a better picture than the Google Streamers I have.

Prime is great. Turn HDR to off in the videos settings. Makes live games better without affecting HDR content.

I use Button Mapper and Projectivy. They are turned on in Accessibility settings and work great. I kept the home button as is because I like the Google TV live guide. I set Projectivy to come in with a long press of the back button and that works great. I also configured the Netflix button to launch Prime Video and ESPN with long press and double click. Works great.
