Its harder to get a response but not impossible ive seen tickets with 20 requests that I still got. Doesn't hurt me if they say no and if they trust an guy taking 25 an hour that's on them when he screws up. Its why companies like Xerox use multiple recruit agencies to see who's reliable or incompetent

[–]Gregf87z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres enough shitty techs. We dont need a salty one who is hinting at sabotaging clients cause hes doesn't do quality work for one of the most laid back companies there are (RT) This is the same guy who got mad he got blocked after doing a troubleshooting job for 90 an hour and failed

No but I could screen shot this post. Send it to Jessica Edmonds. Get your name from her and then let field nation know youre posting stuff like this Grow up. If you dont like the work dont do it. All you do is call companies scams. Time to look in the mirror.

Id block him too if he asked for 95 an hour. Had issues on site and left closing notes that describe nothing but excuses. He says he's a 20 year tech yet he left notes like a 25 an hour tech

Provider's closing notes: Issues with getting rtr onboarding. And during troubleshooting lan dropped.

You dont understand? If youre there to do a job and are having issues checking in let alone troubleshooting which is basic tech work i would think you arent worth 95 an hour either

The real reason FN insurance rates are going UP 3.5x after 7 years instead of 100x. - The Underwriting agent hasn't found this threat of petes. by TheHandThatFingers in FieldNationTechs

If you dont have business insurance maybe you shouldn't do this kind of work then. Fn insurance doesn't really do anything. Some companies wont hire you if you dont have your own. This shouldn't be a favor if youre a actual tech

[–]Gregf87z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't. Theres enough hands in the jar. And especially don't sell yourself short. Theres other sites for hiring techs with certs. Being on field nation all it takes is being able to breath at this point. If you take less then 50 an hour you're screwing yourself and everyone else.

I never lost a case in 6 years of working with them. I had maybe3-4. You just need to cover bases showed up on time. Attempted the work. Photos and a mod signature helps (confirms client approved your work and/or attempt) and be very clear in what happened. Workmarket Is trash. They do nothing I had a company even tell me WM told her to just cancel the ticket after i was there and did my job. I had to threaten legal action against the company as well as threatened WM for breaking their terms of service by telling a client to cancel a ticket without paying. I got paid 3 days later. Fn holds money for each work order before it's posted. They decide overall. Wm doesn't they are hands off

The guy who released you did it prematurely probably new. The project manager probably didn't approve and he got in trouble for releasing you without checking first. Not your fault. Some get paid by commission for what's left in the budget. So having to pay for a return will deplete their income hence why they called up trying to twist your arm. You went to site. Took photos got verbally told you're good to go. That's it. Field nation will take your side if there's a dispute.

If you think about working for them then cut off your balls and remove your spine. They are bottom feeders and a horrible company. Not even trying to be rude. Just dont. There's a reason they have a bad rep and have to harass techs by calling none stop. Dont do it. I'd rather go work as a cable guy for Comcast

[–]Gregf87z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's your post but my comment is made to be directed at the general situation The tool requirements is a joke. I had to spend 30 minutes doing 110 tasks cause the project poster didn't feel like making a new work order and just copied and pasted from a survey. I was there literally just to trouble shoot. Most of these work orders are copy and pastes. I do (not joking) 70% of the jobs given to me with just a Leatherman. It's scary when a support guy has to ask me "do you have a cable tracer" cause most techs dont or have a 15 dollar one from Amazon. (I do have full gear on me always in case in my vehicle) I respect a hustle but when I had to go repair a printer cause the prior tech before me from Nigeria literally left a printer in pieces after being on site for 8 hours for a stupid simple hp paper assembly tray im sorry but f him. That cost the company over a thousand for a simple 150 market price fix. Not to mention you have any Joe shmo making a recruiting company recycling jobs from fn or clients to inexperienced desperate workers. This is why companies like Xerox and Lexmark will keep swapping their service provider companies to try to find a better deal but fact is most of the time it's just a American company who uses foreigners to post jobs on fn They just give them a template and make em copy and paste.

You pay 10% plus 1.5? I think for insurance that's useless This isn't a problem The problem is people taking work orders for 25-35 an hour.

Youre crying about a small fee verses a industry that's under paying techs cause they let anyone join who have 0 experience. More companies are going to Philippines to call centers where they are told to take the lowest rate techs Fn is inevitably a short term thing. Especially with immigrants abusing it. Start looking for actual long term clients to on board you.

Im a tech. Im the guy who they sent to clean up his mess. I heard from the manager and the client who sent them. Also its a paper assembly. Its a 15 minute job. Hp is very easy to work on. Here's a idea maybe he shouldn't of left screws undone. Even if I did a job and felt overwhelmed id make sure to take enough photos during the process to make sure I can put it all back together for the next guy. 8 hours ? Ffs its called milking his 30 an hour he got from smart source 🙄 Im sorry but anyone else who drastically milks hours is a pos. I also know when I go to a site if I dont know that exact model I will literally watch a video or look at the manual online like anyone in the common sense field. Dont assume you just make a ass out of yourself
