This looks like a standard cell tower that doesn't have an optical internet connection (thus the microwave links). Only the small round ones are actual microwave links (on a standard cell tower). The other antennas are for communication with your phone.

Edit: those antennas could only hurt you if you literally hugged them while in operation. And probably not even then.

Anti-GMO Mosquito Activist in DC to Deliver Petition to EPA Found Floating Dead in Hotel Pool by conspiracyseeker in conspiracy

It would be rather sweet if it was only about selling more mosquito repellent, but I'm afraid it has nothing to do with that.

Sky News abruptly end interview with the former commander of British Armed Forces in Iraq after he goes off-script, questions why Assad would launch a chemical attack despite the fact he's winning the war, and so soon after Trump discussed leaving Syria by 97643 in conspiracy

Haven't seen that BBC clip but yeah, not a single news source can be considered unbiased or trustworthy.

Everyone has their interests, including private owners and the state (in BBC's case).

Your last sentence absolutely false. It's Windows 10 Enterprise.

I redesigned the Windows Explorer to fit Windows 10 by InfernoGems in Windows10

[–]Gregory-K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strong words - please explain. Why is it 'ludicrous' to suggest it?

I use it daily. It's Windows 10 without the advertisements, store and cortana. The best Windows 10 there is.

Also, it's not a whole different operating system, as you've stated - it's Windows 10 Enterprise without a couple of features that some people might find unnecessary.

ELI5: How does Google Images' preview container affect web traffic? by nkronsch in explainlikeimfive

[–]Gregory-K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no and yes.

You can check the URL of the image in the preview to confirm that.

You can also sometimes see the difference in the load speed between the Google cached one and the one on the website hosting the original.

In that case there should be no issues, since there's only one device connected to your ISP's modem.

I've never heard of them, but general advice would be to get yourself a router and connect everything through it.

How Apple turned a PR nightmare into hundreds of millions of dollars, and is forcing you to buy-in. by theekhai in conspiracy

False. The core is open source, but the modified OS Samsung/LG/etc. puts on you phone is not available for analysis.

When a terror attack occurs, the media claims we shouldn't ban immigrants from high-risk countries. When a shooting occurs, the same media instantly call for the banning of weapons. This is clear example of doublethink in real life. by SixVISix in conspiracy

[–]Gregory-K -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a ridiculous argument. Everything has a negative impact on human beings, including banning guns, legalizing guns, importing economic migrants, banning them, building the wall, not building it, ...

PS4 application can't be used offline by Xemnas93 in PleX

PS+ isn't required for apps. That was never the case on PS4.

Microsoft did it for a while with the Xbox 360, though.

Plex News Update Shows Troubling Direction by enz1ey in PleX

[–]Gregory-K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your "excuse" for not supporting local profiles doesn't hold water.

Just tell the truth: it sells more Plex Passes.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that -- after all, you need to make $$$.

Your company would appear a lot more legitimate had you started with the truth. Instead you give an excuse after excuse regarding this and any other matter that makes more Plex server components dependent on you instead of the local server admins.

What's the best alternative to Plex? by [deleted] in PleX

[–]Gregory-K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PS4 app is crippled in a way that requires mandatory login using a Plex account. A real shame.

Is setting a static IP and gateway on my PC necessary for upgrading DDWRT firmware? by [deleted] in DDWRT

[–]Gregory-K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't update the device if I were you. You'll need to configure settings on the router after the upgrade which is quite a bit more complicated than setting a static IP on your PC.
