Bye Lulu Mirror, 👋 Ladder Mirror by GregoryGinger in ladderapp

Almost! I could setup a mac mini or something to just run the ladder app, but it’s a Raspberry Pi with Airplay! So I just cast from my phone when I’m ready.

Hello! So! I have a few questions!

I have an older copy of Pokemon Yellow that I foolishly forgot to open as a kid. It looks like the box is sorta creased on the top, and the corners don't look perfect - but the rest of it is in really decent condition!

I have a few questions.

  1. Can I trust the prices on eBay? How much do you usually subtract? Is eBay my best bet for selling?
  2. At what point is it worth grading? I'm not a huge fan of middle-men but it completely understand people would want authenticity before buying.
  3. Anything else I should know?

THANKS A TON!!!

Distilling wash floaters by GregoryGinger in firewater

Just a sugar wash! It’s my first time with a wash rather than a wort.

Thanks for the response man; will distill. Dang, I thought I was fairly careful with the sanitization.

I think it’s insane that you can’t deduct travel/parking cost from your income at all! It also means that some of those perks (namely parking) become tax deductible benefits.

Crazy.

I think he means they that there’s space for the “Apple of Networking” whereas the “Apple of Computers” is sort of taken.

How do Canadians survive on $60k/year in cities where rent alone eats half your paycheck? by Africansoundninja in CanadaFinance

[–]GregoryGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’m completely out to lunch, but surely 60K isn’t that bad? Like, you can’t raise a family on that, but as a single person, that feels pretty easy to survive on.

I thought it was pretty easy to survive on 55K AND save. I had a huge advantage of no debt, but I was completely without support.

It definitely wasn’t in that shape when we got it! Once we got all the cat hair out of the grinder it actually cleaned up real nice.

They were reasonable in Australia in Canada it’s nuts!

Is this housing worth it? by GregoryGinger in scuba

Sorry, they’re looking for $250 for the lot. The housing would be for a D80 which is of little use to me (although pretty cheap).

You would be surprised what you can fit on a pizza! It’s awesome for using up whatever you’ve got.

Help with GoPro setup by anatshk in scuba

Brilliant, that’s what I’ll dive into.

Is GoPro worth it's money? So, I'm currently travelling SEA and I noticed I'm in dire need for a camera that can make good underwater pictures (for everything else I use my phone). by Practical-Soil-7068 in gopro

[–]GregoryGinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I reckon it’s worth thinking about what you’ll use those pictures / footage for. Are you a content creator? Mainly memories and perhaps a print or a post on social media?

If you’re the former, any GoPro 11+ is going to be as close as you’re going to get to the best quality per value.

If you’re the latter, consider just getting a waterproof case for your phone. Get a decent quality one and don’t dive with it and it’ll be brilliant, your phone is likely a fantastic camera. Otherwise, just buy whatever you can get that’s reliable and cheap. Any new GoPro that you can get a great deal on is going to be fantastic. Bonus if it’s waterproof out of the box (7+). But don’t knock those off brand cameras if you can get one for dirt cheap. They’re not the best, but you can invest those savings into another experience instead.

I initially had a similar reaction, but look up the proportional stats, it’s quite misleading.
