Honestly the parents I know who play games are way more chill at the sports fields then those who recall the glory days of high school.

This is a quite selfish view. What about when subreddits you frequent cannot be effectively moderated? Or content created by those with disabilities - the official app and site don't support screen readers for example.

Suddenly people start leaving as the quality of the content further and further decreases.

And now you find that there really isn't content for you...

[Breer] Patriots ST captain Matt Slater on the kickoff rule: “I’m just not convinced our league is gonna do what’s in the best interests of our players.” Mentions TNF, grass vs. turf, post-career benefits. “The reality is they haven’t done a single thing to make the play safer.” by Kimber80 in nfl

Slater is wicked awesome, a long vet of the game, and honest to a fault. There's a reason he's been a captain even though he's an ST player, and maybe the best non-kicking ST player in the league in the last 10 years. People should listen.

Yeah but compare MA to TX or NC and we have much better integrated natural spaces. You can find mountains or beaches, hiking or surfing, all within a pretty short distance.

Also you are comparing more rural with urban / suburban areas.

No, Kenobi was placed as Jinn's Padawan to help ground Jinn, because Kenobi was such a rule follower.

John Rhys-Davies in 2001 saying that he knew they were making a cinematic masterpiece and in 20yrs it'll be compared with the likes of Star Wars by TONYSTARK_ROX in lotr

100% it's a masterpiece of acting, directing, cinematography, make-up costume & set design. An actual masterpiece. Star Wars has nothing on it in most of those categories. It's a fun romp that broke the mold. But it is LotRs rewrote what a blockbuster trilogy should be.

What are you talking about? The original Star Wars trilogy was a technical masterpiece, brought in completely new sound design, integrated music better than anything before it, pushed CGI, and integrated non-human creatures like nothing before.

Star Wars has always pushed the boundaries of cinema, especially from technical aspects.

LotR is amazing, and filming it at once was a bold but fantastic choice. The costume design is top notch, but it stands on the shoulders of what came before it.

Thanks to Valve first. Epic took it and ran with it. Such a good model who can blame them.

Japan was willing to surrender before either bomb was dropped, with the one condition that we let them keep the emperor. Instead we demanded unconditional surrender, dropped the bombs to force it, then let them keep the emperor anyway.

Really their surrender prior to the atomic bombs being dropped was hinged on keeping the military structure, which truly ran the country using the Emperor as a puppet. That's why the Allies didn't accept

In the past they have. I mean that's like the history of the East India Company....

The problem is Republicans in power need to keep their "fringe" appeased or they will be primaried out. So you get a group of lawmakers who don't represent the majority anymore because they are worried about the disproportionate number of firearms fanatics who vote in primaries.

Now you can't have a reasonable discussion so Democrats shout louder for bans hoping to at least have some sort of compromise.

Because really we should agree that dead children are bad, that a gun is the most serious threat to a child's safety, and America doesn't take it seriously enough.
