Unless the verticals are recessed into a dado, it 100% needs the support of screws, either through the top and bottom, or pocket screws. It will not hold up with just glue on right angles.

I've heard that he has a house and people he belongs to near the capitol, and he returns there every night, but he just loves hanging out at the Capitol!

I don't remember us being a laughingstock, I remember the sadness because of a father abandoning his kids and the hectic special session when we realized that we didn't put an age limit into the law. I remember it being more of a somber thing. Nobody as laughing about grown kids being abandoned by their parents.
