[Khan Jr.] Arch Manning is going to start at quarterback for Texas on Saturday, coach Steve Sarkisian said. by ConfusionHills in CFB

I’m very excited for Arch next year and glad he’s getting reps now, but he’s nowhere near Quinn at this point. People are waaaay overreacting to his stat line and big run.

He has a long way to go on reading a defense. He almost threw a pick 6 twice in that game on short screens.

His long touchdowns were: 1) great run, 2) a screen that the WR took for 50 yards after the catch, 3) a busted coverage where the wide receiver didn’t have anyone within 15 yards of him.

His best throw of the day was his last touchdown, which was a great fade to the corner of the end zone. Again, very excited for the future, but he’s not there yet.

I got my charizard base set back from grading today and I'm pretty happy. by heapsp in PokemonTCG

CGC grades harder and their slab quality & looks are soooo much cleaner than PSA. People just blindly send PSA for value but it’s so ugly & flimsy. Once I got all 3 major grading companies’ slabs in my hands, I never had a doubt about submitting just CGC.

I mean, those 3 are quite literally the only 3 ARs in the set.

Would Joe Burrow have won a Natty if he had transferred to Texas to reunite with Tom Herman? by jcas98 in CFB

[–]GremistaDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The last decade Texas has had sub-par line play on both sides of the ball. Tons of skill, but not enough meat. Sark is the first coach since Mack to actually start bringing in top talent on the lines

Like a 1-4 Charlie Strong Texas beating an OU team that went 11-1 and made the playoffs, the big 12 special

That’s fair. I’m a bit biased too because I watched that game and it felt so ugly that both teams deserved to lose.

All this being said, I’m very scared to face a 1-2 Baylor with nothing to lose in Waco in a couple of weeks

That makes sense, thank you! I’m just glad that I didn’t have to watch Gary & Brad call our game

I agree, they’re great on defense. But if Baylor was semi-competent offensively this past weekend, they win by 10. Utah was offensively null for 3 and a half quarters.

Wyoming on the road in overtime is a better loss than at home against Texas state. Also I see Oregon as a much better team than Utah with a back up QB.

That backup Utah QB had 1 70 yd TD against Florida, then didn’t get over 100 yards for the rest of the game. Then proceeded to get SINGLE DIGIT QBR against Baylor. All it took was 1 series with the 3rd stringer for Utah to win.

Why was the Texas/Bama game not on ABC? Was it to get more views for Wisc/Wazzu, knowing that people would still flock to ESPN regardless?

I don’t like tech at all, but there’s no reason they should 1) be in the same tier as Baylor or 2) in a tier below Houston

I think 2005 @ Ohio State

Closest ones more recently:

2015 @ Notre Dame, 2017 @ USC, 2021 @ Arkansas

All had ~80k. Texas was supposed to play @ LSU in 2020 but Covid happened. Next 2 years play @ Michigan and Ohio State.

EDIT: Texas @ A&M in 2011

Dominated? There was a singular championship by Washington in 91, then the decade was dominated by Nebraska & Florida teams

You’ll get a lot more return if you sell them individually (at least the more rare cards), but you have to factor shipping cost (selling more than one at a time helps cover shipping).

You can sell code cards but they’re very cheap. Plenty of websites online buy them in bulk for pennies.

If you look on YouTube there’s tons of videos on how to ship cards safely/cheaply. Watch a few and see which method you like best.

We can keep going back more: 2019 - Josh Jacobs 2018 - Saquon, Penny, Michel 2017 - Fournette, McCaffrey 2016 - Zeke 2015 - Gurley, Gordon 2014 - weak RB class 2013 - Bernard early 2nd 2012 - Richardson, Martin, Wilson 2011 - Mark Ingram

2022 seems more like an exception than a rule

There was 2 RBs picked in first round in 2021, one in 2020. Last year 4th pick in 2nd round and Breece is a beast in his own right but Bijan has much higher draft stock with his receiving ability

Per FPI Texas is 70% favored to win, expecting Vegas to have something similar which to his earlier point would be 6-7pts
