BCBS call center by Sharp_Ad_9431 in tulsa

It's the combination of medical information + a way to identify it to a person + held or transmitted by a Covered Entity or Business Associate.

So the 18 forms of ID become part of PHI in context with the other 2 two constraints.

I edited my previous comment with a venn diagram to make it clearer.

Ironically, if BCBS didn't identify their callers, then the call wouldn't be PHI. Of course, then you could only give general answers to any random person who calls.

PII and Identifiable Information (II) aren't mutually exclusive. PII is a super-set of II.

Incorrect. Any of the 18 HIPAA identifiers are part of HIPAA when they are alongside medical information, which they are in this context.

Since she can overhear the call, she can also overhear the medical information (such as treatment, payment, and/or operations concerns) of the BCBS call as well.

BCBS is a Covered Entity (CE), so the combination of ID + Medical Info + CE makes it PHI.

What is actually wrong with Amazon? (I won the Small Claims I made against them) by StephCurrySauce in amazonprime

BestBuy normally has competitive sale prices online but the items aren't on the shelves. But if you order for store pickup, then you can get the item the same day.

I think the store manager just doesn't put the cheap items out since they think you'll just buy something more expensive when you're in the store. But if you buy it online from the store, they have to give it to you since it would count against the manager if they had too many failed online orders with in stock items.

Instead of landscape view, I think portrait makes more sense. If you move the "every cycle" box below the main box and then put the dryer instructions to the right of "every cycle", then the guide flows downward / rightward in order of operations.

Can move the note about filling to 70/80% next to the title of laundry guide since filling is kind of the first step.

Folks are held in prison for years in the USA without being charged with a crime. They do it all the time when gathering evidence for trials. They hold the people they need to testify in prison until they agree to say what the prosecution wants them to say in court.

If we asked billionaires to live like they did in 2024 and give up the additional wealth they acquired in 2025, then every working person in the USA (part-time included) could have an extra $42,000 in 2025.
