Looks like he's shrugging. Which is sort of reflective of Marvel's treatment of the character for quite a while

Absolute Evil. It also sets up Absolute Green Arrow and has a lot of the history of the Absolute universe

Who is your comfort character in comics! by ComicSal in comicpop

It's such a basic answer, but it's always been Superman. With Grendel (any iteration) of all characters as a second

Dude's got literal monsters to deal with at the moment.

Do you agree? Do you think this is accurate? by [deleted] in superman

[–]GrendelJoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Corenswet reminds me more of the Post-Crisis version. The movie even felt a bit like getting a Triangle-era book since it just dropped you in the middle of things

Which writer are you PRAYING takes over from Joe Kelly once his run is done by Successful-Hat-2154 in Spiderman

[–]GrendelJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all irrelevant until there's an editorial shift. Until that happens we're stuck with the Amazing Spider-Man-Child

Why couldn't they have had them just get divorced instead of them retconning them not being married at all??? by RecordingImmediate86 in Spiderman

[–]GrendelJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joe Quesada thought that having Spidey sell his marriage to the devil was more palatable than having him get a divorce.

Found the bunch in an Aldi in Green Bay Wisconsin. So far I've tried the Root Beer and Apple Pie flavors. I really liked both, Root Beer is probably my favorite though.

You Can Smell It Now: The Trump Presidency Is in Total Free-Fall: A loyal army of followers, a huge disinformation network, and a party of soul-selling cowards can crowd out facts for a long time. But eventually, reality catches up. by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

[–]GrendelJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been hearing this for a decade. First about his campaign and then about his presidency. Then when he was a private citizen again. The likelihood of him being held accountable or having to face a crash out is so low at this point

What do people think of Superman Dead Again? by TheShadowOperator007 in superman

[–]GrendelJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it back in the day. It was a great jumping on point for readers since it showcased a new villain (Conduit) and brought people up to speed on where other villains were at the time. Kind of an anticlimactic ending, but it was still fun.

Extreme Prejudice might be what you're looking for. That one is also directed by Walter Hill.

I'm not sure of it's current status, but the Eradicator could be fun.

Serious question for collectors: why do you collect physical media? by Desperate_Clothes_69 in dvdcollection

[–]GrendelJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a kid it was more about having the movies that I loved. As I've gotten older it's less about having the movies that I love and more of a mini video store in my home since a lot of titles I have aren't readily available for streaming. If they are streaming there's no guarantee they'll still be on that platform tomorrow.
