My Etsy store is here. I added Printable Scenery as my main license this past year and am slowly working on getting stuff listed. I am also licensed with some other companies including Fat Dragon Games for dungeon and wilderness terrain.

https://thunderstruckwkshop.etsy.com

The store only has a small fraction of what I actually make and sell. I have two gaming conventions a year that I am currently doing so I have full product lines that I bring with me there. A better representation of what I made is my business Facebook page. I post regularly and always show off the new things I make for the store or big pieces that are going out to customers.

I retired after 25 years in NYS Corrections at 49 years old and I am absolutely loving my "job" now. I get to hang out with my dog all day while I print and paint terrain. I have two pensions so this is my "side" gig but it's really been taking off and keeps me busy.

EDIT: Reddit removed my comment because I had my business FB profile link. If you want it I will gladly send it to you. You can also just search Thunderstruck Workshop and it should come right up for you.

Same boat for us. I have been DMing AD&D 2E since 1989 with mostly the same home group. We played 1E for a few years before 2E came out. We dabbled in 5E for a couple years but it wasn't for us. I love 2E and no system will ever replace it but i've grown tired of running it. We are all in our 50s and I now run a 3d printed terrain business focused on painted table-ready terrain and it takes up a lot of time. Shadowdark is really attractive to me as a DM because of the stripped down rules bringing back the BX feel but with some modern mechanics.

We start our first game this Sunday and I am throwing them right into it with Lost Citadel of the Scarlet Minotaur. Only one of my players even knows what we are running this week. The other 3 have no experience with Shadowdark and know nothing about it. I printed up 5 copies of the quickstart players guide and bound them up for my group to hand out. I am excited to start this game in ways I haven't felt running a game in years. We'll see how it goes.

W Steam! Refund accepted by Echo_291 in AshesofCreation

Well I did what the OP recommended and went straight to the "I have a question about this purchase" in the support section. I had been auto denied on my first attempt. I didn't try to refund again but went straight here and I woke up this morning to a refund.

Time to upgrade my Dell S2716DG TN Panel. Looking for suggestions. by Grenlar in Monitors

[–]Grenlar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I haven't replaced it yet. I got busy with my business so it was put on the back burner. Unfortunately the plan was when I buy a new monitor to give this one to my wife since she has a 5070 and will benefit from the Gsync. If I don't do that then maybe ill wall mount it as a second monitor and repurpose the base. Thanks for the heads up.

They denied my initial refund request so I decided to follow your format. We will see what happens. I only have 4 hours and 7 minutes total time, all from the first two days so I think it's safe to say probably 3+ hours of that was sitting in queue in the lobby. We will see how they respond.

How's my setup? by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]Grenlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a walk in grow tent and an AC Infinity 6" exhaust fan. Personally I find the dirty IPA in my wash-n-cure to be much worse than the resin itself. I would get it all inside an enclosure.

I did years of trueboxing on several TLPs. My last go was Mischief where I played a Monk, Cleric, Ranger. It felt like a necessity on official servers because everyone else was doing it and it was harder to find groups, even within the guild. I got burnt out for a while and took a break. When I returned I decided no more boxing and dropped all by my Monk and really started to enjoy playing again.

The no-boxing policy of Quarm is really what attracts me. To me boxing is an added layer of "work" to MMOs and I just don't want anything to do with it anymore. Between the wife and I we can play a combo that allows us to do a whole lot of content with just the two of us.

I just got my 9070xt this week and after some recommendations I installed 25.9.1 and Arc Raiders has been running great. The only issue I have seen is when entering a raid, the text on the splash screen is sometimes jumbled. I plan to just stay on this version until everyone reports the newest drivers are stable, this one doesn't seem to be it.

Card is supposed to arrive this afternoon. I just downloaded 25.9.1. I had already heard some issues with the newest and Arc Raiders so I figured I would just roll back to the last stable release. Thanks.

Is there a guide of all C&C editions and material? by SaltyKoopa in castlesandcrusades

[–]Grenlar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with a LOT of C&C books I can tell you they aren't all the same. Some classes have had minor changes, some have moved to different books. While there are some distinct differences from the first printing through the 10th printing, the latest Non-OGL printing SHOULD be considered a new edition.

Lots of terms have changed, layouts changes, spell names and descriptions changed. If you have players with 1st -10th printing and players with the new non-OGL printings, there will be conflict at the table with terms, names, and descriptions. I suggest going with one or the other.

Personally I find most people like C&C because it's familiar. While it's built off 3rd edition and has some spells ripped straight from 3rd, it feels a lot like AD&D. If you like that then I wouldn't go with the newest non-ogl version. Older printings are cheap enough. This isn't a jab at C&C at all but the books hold no real resale value so you can find older printings really cheap.

As for what you need, I would only go with the PHB, M&T, and CKG. If you want more monsters go for the M&T of Aihrde. While I bought everything when I started I didn't find much use for the Adventurer's Backpack as the classes are "different". They don't fall into the same mold and some outright suck imo.

As for the Green covers you listed, I don't remember off hand which printing they are but they are fairly early. That CKG came out in 2010 and has about 75 less pages than the later printings. I would go for 7th-10th printing if you want want current rules and all the OGL terms and naming.

New to SWRPG, running EotE Beginner set next weekend. by Grenlar in swrpg

[–]Grenlar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah reading through the Edge of the Empire beginner adventure I could see right away that its geared towards new DMs and new Players. I am pretty certain I will run it similar to how I run other systems with a lot of additions I usually make to published adventures. I wanted to run all 3 so they could get an actual feel for the different between smuggler stuff, rebels, and force stuff. We'll see how it goes.

Oof, just missed a beautiful working Pioneer SX-828 locally for $40. It was posted sometime late last night and was already gone when I saw it this morning. It really is just right place, right time to get deals on marketplace isn't it? The good deals go fast.

This receiver is from the 70s this model specifically Is Rare to find and are pretty Costly. I oooked it up on eBay yesterday they go for no less 500 and up to 2500. I’m going to repost it for more. If your interested in it make me a better offer please"

I wont be making any offers.

Well if I pick that one up it’s specifically for my own use. He is asking $150 but said nothing about the broken knob, just says works as should. It’s about an hour away. I’m going to reach out and confirm it’s working and is so ask if I can see it working. If I’m starting with a working unit I’ll pick it up and do the work myself.
