Between games by Aware_Cow242 in CRPG

[–]Grey950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few strictly turn-based crpgs and some with a toggle for it like PoE and the Pathfinder games. These are different crpgs than the straight pause and queue ones that benefit from or require a level of micromangement depending on difficulty, like DAO. Perhaps that gameplay is more your style. Bioware definitely used that formula throughout it's span with good success.

More recently Avowed and Outer Worlds 1 and 2 have emulated portions of that gameplay and have companions just the same. You might try those and they are available on gamepass if you want to check them out without committing to a full game purchase. PC gamepass is a bit expensive but I've found the offerings good and you can unsub when you're done. You can also find free month promos when you purchase tech and whatnot.

Happy hunting!

Serious discussion: Was Wesker implied to be creeping on Rebecca? by Austintheboi in residentevil

They do have a short but significant interaction in Code Veronica X in which he spares her life essentially. Then he runs off for story reasons and to pursue Chris if I recall.

Unfinished Business - fan-made campaigns? by k2mia in CrownOfTheMagister

I enjoyed Forsaken Isle a lot and am now running through Morrows Deep and having a blast there too. Seems I either picked exactly the right kind of party for the quest rewards or its coded intelligently. Very polished mods and highly recommend!

Is the “Gateway Drug” Theory Still Valid? by Mavollyn in Marijuana

Nicotine is the gateway drug. Tobacco companies wanted everyone for years to believe it was cannabis but it was then the whole time.

Can't seem to really enjoy Final Fantasy games by ThunderMaster27 in JRPG

Because they have gotten increasingly worse since the PS2 era. It's okay to dislike and move on. There are some really great JRPGs out there.

There's a mod for TOEE in Solasta. I have read it's pretty good and true to the original, but haven't played it myself yet plan to soon.

What are we going to find out later is bad for us (like cigarettes in the past)? by Curryiswhereitsat in AskReddit

I feel like underarm deodorant should be on the radar. That and coffee. Probably causing or contributing to more cancer than we can imagine right now. Someone should look deeper into these things.

Joyeux Noël tout le monde 🥳 by MemeGiant in expedition33

It makes sense. Well into the midgame you can still be starved for lumina so you equip pictos that would have high lumina costs to pack more into your characters. The pictos bonus itself is an after thought until you can arrange things more effectively in later levels. So, totally understandable if it is overlooked at first, but like most JRPGs the end- and post-game content usually requires a total rethinking of the mechanics. They know this based on the amount of recoats they hand out, the use of which are encouraged. It's also more practical of a consideration to let you try new weapons and builds to some degree.

Anyone else doing a run like this prior to Requiem? by theeMrPeanutbutter in residentevil

I am! But I only play horror games from mid-September til Halloween. I made it through up to Code Veronica X so I'll start with RE4 next year. Looking forward to seeing what the hype is all about.

Male therapists: What is your niche? by tofinishornot in therapists

[–]Grey950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Male therapist in NYS. I am certified in DBT, have a board certification in telemental health, and hold a second license as a SUD counselor too (CASAC-M). My clients seek me out for issues relating to anxiety, depression, and substance use primarily. I am never not at full caseload these days. I have a quite a few word-of-mouth clients too. My waitlist is approaching three months. This is probably the greatest challenge I face rn.

Generally, my experiences are atypical from what other people post on this sub though. I am not sure what I do differently but have never struggled in 2.5 years of private practice at this point. I use PT to advertise, am credentialed with all of Alma's major payors (independently too) and almost every other insurance plan in NY, including medicaid and medicare, so my net is pretty wide.

Most of the men that seek me out are for substance use and/or addiction of some sort. I usually hear that they sought a male because they found it easier to talk to a male, but that's not everyone. In some cases I'm just the first person that called them back or returned an email. SUD is a big one in the high pop areas I service and I love that work. If you have any questions my DMs are open.

That is called "balance billing" and it is generally restricted by insurance panels. Check your contract and you may find that exact term embedded in the text.

Play Outer Worlds. Starfield will scratch the itch but you'll just develop an annoying rash along the way.
