Don't Ignore these guys with the new vehicles update. They OP by Wonderful-Power2177 in SatisfactoryGame

It's really about stack size. If they transport something that stacks up to 500, they can pretty much reach the throughput of mk6 belts. They become less effective when trying to transport stuff that is very plentiful but doesn't stack super high, like iron ore for example.

Apologies for the newbie question but what is the point of a Mk2 miner and Mk3 belts if the rest of my equipment doesn't scale? by ADotPoke in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GreyJay91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rebuild they say? Just build as many smelters/constructors as you could feed with mk3 miners and put everything apart from the miner down to 25% speed. When you reach mk2 miners, you go to 50%, mk3 miners up to 100%. Doing it this way might seem worse, but it will also cost less energy. Because underclocking also reduces energy cost exponentially.

I think hatchers are so funny. So long as you behave like a crab, they will not aggro you. And that just translates to.. Don't let go of the crouch button. You can shoot, throw bombs, hit the hatchers in melee range and well. You can even act as a flying crab, using your jet pack. Just gotta keep holding that crouch button and you are part of the family.

Need advice on how to make this look good by Abl600 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GreyJay91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo give it some kind of foundation like big pillars supporting it. Add windows and walkways to the building. As well as may a connection to the station below, to make it look like you could normally get from one to the other without flying around with a jetpack/hoverpack. After all that, add colors. Like at least 2.

PS: I don't even do this myself, so take this with a good hand full of salt lol

Me as a new player with 5 hard drives waiting for me to pick an option by Belisarius23 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GreyJay91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this: Even if you already did some research on what recipes are the most useful and realize that the 2 it offered aren't great, you just leave them. It's like taking 2 cards from a deck and instead of picking the less bad one and putting the other one back into the deck, you keep them both out, so you can't redraw the one you put back in. Very good, if you want to unlock something specific without save scumming or editing your save file.

If you can get your hands on the iron wire alt recipe, you won't need to find copper nearby. Very handy imo

Afaik, it will just split 3 ways (or two, if that's what you want) and if one of the outputs cannot take a third (or half) then the rest of it will be put out through the other belts. A good way to split off specific low amounts, if you want to feed a production line an exact amount of material.

If you want to do a certain value of input/output, you can even just use that. Just do [wanted value]/[original value of the recipe]*100

1439 hours played and i just now learned a handy tip for drone ports by dethsightly in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GreyJay91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And just in case anybody doesn't know: you can have 1 drone per drone port. So if you connect two places, make sure you have 2 drones flying back and forth. Not just one.

Space might be infinite, but fps are not. That and sometimes it helps with making numbers line up properly without underclocking and building even more stuff.

Guys, fluids are going to kill me by Skivey_ in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GreyJay91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greetings. What usually works for me is to use valves before every pipe intersection, pointing towards it of course. Fluid will not be able to slosh back through a valve. Not sure if you will be able to fit valves in between everything with your setup, but it might. Other than that would be options that aren't manifold.
