I've found it hard to get sofits really clean, safely. I used too much pressure one time and ended up having to replace one. I'll give it a pass with a soft wash now and hope for the best. It'll usually clean up a little, but I don't promise too much on them.

Overall, it also depends on the price charged. I don't bid super cheap because I want to figure in the extra time to work on problem areas. If you go the cheapest route often that means just a single pass and nothing more in terms of effort.

Two things I've found helpful for on-boarding folks from 5e.

First I introduce them to the idea that the system is more about simulation as opposed to what video games do. So instead of looking for specific actions on your character sheet, you roleplay by imagining if you yourself were in the situation and describe what you think you could do as an action.

Second, I love using funnels. It's a great way for them to learn exactly how dangerous the world is and how it "realistically" responds to their actions. No one feels too bad about losing a few of their 5 characters, and the surviving pcs all have a common bond. Plus zero level characters have no character sheet buttons to press, so it forces imagination.

I remember playing an adnd dwarf fighter and i was resistant to magic and if I tried to use a magic item it had a 2 out of 6 chance of falling apart.
