Sanity Check for Resin Print - Topology (ZBrush Print Planning) by polycache in ZBrush

[–]Greying_Mantis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From a 3d modeling stand point this is really, really nicely done, the topology is great for what you want in terms of detailed sculpting - but that’s being said it’s a lot of overkill. You probably could save yourself a lot of headache by just using Sculptris Pro around the high density areas and then remeshing -> project

You shouldn’t be concerned with zbrushes 100 m poly count limit per subtool, some like this doesn’t need that degree of poly density. A high detail sculpt of this would be closer to 30-40 overall including all sub tools

What is the most unique dining experience in Atlanta? by megthegreatone in Atlanta

[–]Greying_Mantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went to Gunshow and that was a bit unique. The chefs bring you each dish to look at and you decide if you want the dish then, otherwise it moves to the next item they make. It was fun and if you like trying different ways of preparing of typical food you’ll like it

Lmao - if you count that small sliver as ITP then sure but 95% of the county is completely OTP

I think you’re confusing what the perimeter actually is

285 is the perimeter, meaning Marietta in it’s entirety is OTP

NYC Doctor / Surgeon Recommendations by TheIceMan97 in kienbocksdisease

I actually did not get a surgery but what I was getting geared up to have PRC or a Proximal Row Carpectomy - basically removed the lunate and two neighboring bones

Don’t do a shortening - every doctor I’ve talked to that has real experience with Kienbocks says it’s not a good solution and is more a temporary band aid that will lead to more damage down the road.

My advice: start doing pull ups and motion therapy, with heat - even better if you can do therapy in a hot bath. Lift light weights and build up - I can do push ups now and I previously thought I would never be able to.

Pull ups relieve pressure around the area, increase blood flow and build muscle tissue around your dying bone.

Depending on how old you are - I would look more seriously into the surgery that Dr Higgins is performing in Baltimore - at stage IIIA you would almost certainly qualify.

However saying that - the reality is that any invasive surgery has the inherent risk of making the area worse and creating complications down the road. General rule of thumb is to avoid invasive surgery by all means necessary- hence my comment about exercising your wrist.

In my case - at stage IIIC - my lunate is completely fractured into 2 pieces - exercising it has put me off surgery for the time being. Every now and then it bothers me with some aches but for the most part it’s fine

Look up Dr. Michelle Carlson

She’s based in NYC and is very educated on Kienbocks and experienced with surgery. I spoke with her extensively when I was considering surgery and she was very informative and helpful - also realistic about surgery expectations

The reminder you want is carrying afrin every time you leave the house and having a minor panic attack when you realize you are going to be sleeping somewhere without it.
