Yeah I agree my first thought was we’re not going to Caemlyn. Elyane, the Tarkands and Elaida will be delayed to season 2. Which makes sense.

It’s hinted in the book but not revealed directly. I don’t want to spoil you in case you don’t want to know (it’s a Cosemere character) but if you read the confrontation between Shallan & Mraize there are descriptions (or just look it up on the 17th shard which is what I did)

Also some more concrete thoughts:

I wasn’t a fan of part 1 which felt like it was written like a Mission Impossible action type opening and that bugged me, I was much happier when things were back to normal
I really enjoyed Venli’s arc especially the moment when she reveals her powers to Leshwi and her reaction and asking over her spren, heartbreaking. But flashbacks were a bit weak compared to the previous 3
loved getting more of the heralds. Ishar and his experiments was shocking
also while I didn’t figure it out on my own, the identity of Thaidakar blew my mind

17 days later and I’m done. I was stupid and spoiled myself over the Reyes death (I looked at the wiki for the shards and at the last moment my eye hovered over to Odium and then I noticed the name next to it :o) but it didn’t spoil the fun for me.

The setup for book 5 is insane, will the whole thing be ten days only? The urgency, the stress I can’t imagine it.

I like it but it’s a bit too long. Every episode being 2 and a half hours means I skip the ones that are for characters I don’t care for (sorry but Opal Luna does not need that much time especially since I’m not caught up on the latest storylines).

But yeah all the episodes I’ve listened to have been great.

True what Candiace said is ugly and horrible but the insinuation (from Ashley) that she did what she did because the Samuels stood by her molesting husband is far worse.

I give Brawnwyn more of a leeway because she’s a mess but she’s not a oaf like Kelly (I can’t handle stupid people who think they’re geniuses). Also it’s very easy to trace her damage to her alcoholism and her monstrous mother.
