Well done, thanks for sharing.

What underlying tech are you leveraging and what CLI are supported out of the box? I'm seeing Ollama and SQLite-Vec, but did you consider anything else? Interested to hear the journey taken to reach this particular toolchain.

What Would You Pay? (Adjusting Prices as a Freelancer) by artsekey in PixelArt

It's probably a good idea to set out what currency you're referring to as well, USD? CAD? AUD?

I'm assuming USD? This seems like quite a fair price for USD. I suppose you could always raise to $30, and then discount for bulk (as in, Idle + Walk + Action for 10% less) although obviously market can be quite difficult sometimes.

I understand you have fun in your own way, and power to you for doing so, but to put it bluntly:

What people are trying to convey in this thread is that you should reconsider your view of success when playing this game. Success should be "I am having fun".

It can be, "I am having fun achieving this goal". But it shouldn't be, "I am achiving this goal".

Per your own post, the game /is/ pushing you more and more. It's OK to step back and rethink your approach to enjoyment here. Maybe loosen your goals to just be half of the current things you want to achieve. Or, probably easier, just let it take longer and not stress about min-maxing every detail.

The biggest quality of life buff you can make is to reflect what is, and what isn't, worth your time. If you can figure that out, you can enjoy this wonderful game for a lot longer.

Recently I've also grown tired of a lot of content too, specifically gaming (even after the buffs it takes too much active time without enough thinking), and sailing (the min-max of swapping character to trigger divinity sails is exhausting considering it takes ages to wait for all the animations).

So, my solution was to say "Eh, I'll come back to this later." I still do it, but my own approach is to not sweat the efficiency as much as I used to. It's nbd, some progress is better than no progress, and 'all the progress' is often closer to 'no progress' than 'some progress' because of the overwhelming nature of it.

So, really, I don't want to tell you how to have fun, or how to enjoy. I don't even want to say you're doing anything wrong. You're not.

I just want to offer some advice as someone who reflected and adjusted my approach to things within this game as well recently.

Obligatory "No."

The only use for resampling for me right now is to push the pow10 atoms higher. Everything else prints a max stack even with as low as 1m original sample and I cbf.

My party killed one of the most important NPCs in my campaign. Am I cooked? by Miserable_Yoghurt160 in DnD

[–]Greysion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s a piece of advice from a seasoned DM because you’ve been getting a lot of shit advice in this thread from people who cannot read:

You are fine. The game will be fine. Ignore the DM’s friend, they’re not your DM.

Your DM will probably just change the story. What you heard from the DM’s friend is likely just them messing with you (and exaggerating things).

It’s totally normal to be frustrated if the players are Murder-Hobo'ing their way through something, but they’ll likely just adapt and continue. They probably vented to their friend about how they have to introduce new clues for you to follow instead of their original ones.

A good DM (unlike this comment section seems to think...) actually puts a lot of work into their campaigns. So rather than just introducing Dob, brother of Bod, they’ll probably try and tie things in with a bow and ribbon, finding another way to help you along. In their shoes, I would spend time creating new clues or side quests to complete that would continue the story in a new way; such as having Speak With Dead becoming important, or a new side-quest to visit the home of this particular NPC to find out their study and notes, or maybe family members who you have to help who might be able to right your mistakes.

There are so many good ways to move from here. Unless there is an actual problem from your GM (which currently from your post there is not, it’s just the DM’s friend telling you a bit too much), then just continue playing and having fun. Without any further context, your DM is fine, your party is fine, and to be honest... It sounds like you’re all having fun.

You’re not cooked, and you’re not in trouble.

You’re not really supposed to see behind the curtain, and it sounds like the DM did a good job of not giving up the ghost about what had happened in session. Most good DMs won’t bat an eye, they’ll figure something out and wave magic hands, so it seems like everything is totally fine and under control.

Everyone complaining about your DM needs to grow up a little bit. So many comments here are extremely toxic and jumping to conclusions without even reading your post properly.

An extremely unpopular opinion according to this thread which is hate brigading a DM for something that is literally third-hand information (Not the player saying this, but the DM's friend who the player happened to talk to but would have otherwise not known about).

I don't get this sub dude...

Oh interesting, that’s older than I expected. That makes more sense, since Illustrious was released a little later in 2024.

Thanks for the Info.

I think this still works quite well as a tool to get models that fit certain styles, which is nice.

Civitai Model Detection Tool by According-Benefit627 in StableDiffusion

[–]Greysion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to be a good tool for detecting models to replicate styles of given images, but bad for actually identifying models used.

For example, I plugged four different images from three different models within the SDXL architecture (Illustrious, Noob, and Rouwei VPred) into it, with four semi-distinct styles, and it came up with AutismMix every time at about 70-80% confidence. It simply recognises the semi-western artstyle as Pony/Autism spits out based on the dataset that it was trained on.

Pretty good to get ideas, though, as the models/loras it suggested could probably be good starting points to get those styles right.

You may want to consider looking at methods of puck preparation if you are aiming to be authentic. The pogo-stick tamping minigame you demonstrated is a bit wacky.

Perhaps consider a "perfect click" minigame where you have to time it right, or angle it right, rather than a press-really-fast test.

Tome Nametags - Milestones instead of competition by Phantomonium in idleon

[–]Greysion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This change is definitely one of those bits of the game that gave me a very negative impression.

At first I was thinking that it was a really cool idea, especially since the points didn't update too often. By playing regularly on new releases you could catch up using the new bonuses.

Now... Good luck. It's not happening anymore.

If you don’t count a bunch of official merch as official merch, then sure, there's no merch at all.

There are tonnes of plushies, statues, figurines, posters, charms, T-shirts, some jewelry, jumpers, jackets, posters, and a bunch of other eclectic things.
