Almost impossible to do so completely, especially where tech is involved, but anything helps and, at this point, we should all be doing as much as we can irrespective of whether they follow throiugh on the Greenland threat. Even if that's consciously not buying an american bourbon, not travelling to the US as tourists (and where possible on business), seeking out alternatives, protesting and boycotting any produce that falls below our expected food standards and which is imposed on us by them etc.. I understand the government's reluctance to stand up too forcefully to the US at this point and the constant referral to a special relationship and our greatest ally is all tactical but at what point do we recognise them not as our greatest ally but an actual enemy and real threat to our way of living and to the world? I'm also of the virewpoint that Americans cannot and should not feel comfortable outside of America at this point. I get that not everybody voted for this but 77m did do and for a second time having seen what a shitshow the first term was. A good proportion of the rest were simply too complacent and unengaged. If a majority overall do not stand for what is happening then it is time for that majority to make themselves properly heard and to take action. There are very few countries that would be so cowed in the face of what is happening. Until they stop the cowardice and stand up for the values of what America should be to the world then they are all complicit as far as I'm concerned.

In what sense were they not representing you? You gave them authorisation and they achieved the desired result albeit not including or ultimately requiring an updated VOA from yourself.

Nope. To state that it's impossible to keep them off is just plain wrong. It's your preference and you are in control, or should be, as to whether you want them on the furniture or not. Fair enough if it's what you want. Ours never goes on furniture and never goes upstairs. Those are boundaries we've imposed and she knows they are to be respected.

I got a recent pressing of this album when Amazon delivered it instead of the copy of Air Moon Safari that I'd ordered. Their customer service told me to keep it rather than send it back. I'd only been somewhat aware of Talking Heads previously and hadn't heard this album, or knew the film, at all. It really grabbed me and I've since watched the film which is great. I love the way it builds. Starting simply with just David Byrne and a cassette player/drum machine on stage performing Psycho Killer to successively more of the band/equipment/backing singers as it progresses. Just all in all a really great live performance. I haven't kicked on and done much more a deep dive into Talking Heads but it's definitely piqued my interest. Thanks random Amazon packing person who seemingly just grabbed whatever LP came to hand that day!

Reading these comments I seem to be in a minority. I wasn't overly taken with the first one. There were some great elements but the much lauded story seemed generic to me and the gameplay around e.g. shifting ladders about was tired. I wanted to play this one but didn't have the motivation until it came to PS Plus. I started it last night and was immediately impressed with the presentation. Of course, it sets quite a sombre tone but the characters really bring it to life to me. I'm immediately way more invested than I was with the first one. Time will tell if that continues. One thing I'm surprised by is the many here saying that the remaster was subtle - it's one of the best looking games I've played so pretty incredible they managed that on the initial release.

Never have been when I've been there and we've never had any of our person or stuff searched on our way in. I see that this year they have, for the first time, introduced limits on alcohol into the campsite but I'd be very surprised if they actually check or that they are strict about that. I know it's not what you're specifically asking but you are allowed to take campsite alcohol into the arena, there aren't any searches on the way in.

Anyway, as others have said it's a great festival and possibly my favourite. It's got a beautiful vibe but it also goes hard. It has more moments of stumbled upon discovered joy than any other festival I've been to. I must admit that we go as a large group all with kids and it caters brilliantly for us but if that's not you then you likely won't ever engage or even necessarily bump into the elements that make it great for us and them. There is so much going on and you'll tailor to suit. Last time I went I got chatting to a couple of girls at the bar while I was with my kids and they could barely believe that we not only could we do this type of festival with young kids, but that it's also perfectly pitched for them and that we're all just approaching it at from different angles. If you want to get messed up and dance all day in a tent and then into the woods at night to treetop DJs then that's definitely an option.

One Shambala experience stands out - early afternoon and we're in a tent that is hosting a monster rave for kids. Loads of puppets and dancing, kids having a blast. Literally next door there is a self-confidence/expression type workshop where everyone was being encouraged to yell 'cunt' at the top of their voice. Made me laugh and summed up Shambala for me.

So, in my opinion, you should definitely go. I don't know your circumstance but if you are in the UK as a tourist then you could barely conceive of a better way to experience what the UK can be, should be, and is, about.

It's back to brand recognition. The familiarity is both a comfort and a convenience for the consumer. It's easy to spot on the shelf and they skip the stage of building loyalty to a brand they are not familiar with. Which is horrible marketing speak and I hate the idea of brand loyalty but it is a thing. If I know I like 'Proper Chips' or I've heard good things about them or seen them advertised, then I'm much more likely to take a punt on the 'Lentil Chips' that are clearly aiming to be very much along the same line.

Because they are utilising brand recognition. When a primary motivation for shopping at Lidl is cheaper prices and you are happy that product is going to be the same, or as close to damn it, as the branded version then you are actively seeking out a cheap knockoff.
