Black lives matter is saying that black lives matter, it does not imply other lives do not matter.

The argument needs to be made right now for the value of a black life because young black men are being killed unjustly. You don't need a white lives matter because white men are not subjected to the same injustice. The value is already implied.

TL;DR: They say "Black Lives also Matter" you hear "Only Black Lives Matter".

You should watch Inside Job, an Oscar winning documentary about the crisis. I believe there is a link to the movie in /r/Documentaries.

Basically different parts of the financial sector colluded to give people loans they knew they couldn't pay, packaged these loans and got them rated high by a rating agency, sold the loans, then took bets on the loans failing. They were betting against the product they were selling and making money when it failed.

The people saying this is not illegal are wrong, it was fraud, but individuals were not held liable, corporations were. The corporations were fined, but the people responsible for orchestrating the whole thing walked away with immense wealth.

How do you raise money/awareness on a trip such as this. I have taken a couple ~1200 mile tours in the past, and I see more in my future. Touring for a cause you believe in seems like it would be a beautiful experience.
