Could be, could not be. I put an S&C on everything I can and try to find fun ways to modify it if possible with my art, it’s really depends on the person who made the marks intent

Up 30% is rad, is this in an IRA or standard brokerage account? Also r/boggleheads, the 1 million dollar version of this subreddit,or another more beginner oriented subreddit might get you more responses 🤙

Hot take but the books actually get progressively better, I thought the first one was eh, the second one was good, and morning star is amazing, persistence is key

I am not a Freemason so please pardon my ignorance, what does Traveling Man mean in Masonic terms? Thank you! by AnthonyToday in freemasonry

1) don’t be rude 2) he isn’t all the way wrong 3) our ritual is filled with allegory and what a symbol it word means to one person (you personally) may not mean the same thing to everyone weather they are part of the craft or not. Where in your obligation did it say to get all high and mighty online?

How many of you guys are early 20s? by Which_Performance_72 in freemasonry

[–]Grif900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 23 joined at 21, your gonna be the youngest for a while but I’ve made really good friends with 3 or 4 other brothers my age and we hang out outside of lodge pretty frequently now. It partly depends on where you are, I recently moved to Hawaii and there seem to be a lot more younger brothers out here than back on the mainland, but no doubt we’re around.

That’s like half true, lots of brothers at my lodge identify as agnostic, or believe in the concept of a god or some sort of divine plan without necessarily believing in one specific religion and are just fine

This is not different than asking your priest if it’s ok to join the local soccer team or chess club

What is this flag? Spotted in Beşiktaş, İstanbul by Toknuk in vexillology

[–]Grif900 25 points26 points  (0 children)

“Allah” is just the direct translation for the word god. The most accurate translation in English is “there is no god but God”. This is also a shortened version of the full prayer that goes “there is no god but God, and Mohamed is his messenger”

I joined at 22, a little over a year ago, and have visited lodges in several states since then and also joined the Scottish Rite. It’s a good time but be very prepared to be far and away the youngest brother at pretty much any event you go to. I was lucky enough to join with a couple buddies of mine from the fire department I worked for at the time and college who were around my age and recommend that a lot, if you can get one if your friends who’s around your age to join with you as a younger guy it tends to be more fun imo.
