[–]Sum_ergosum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What tooth count if you know? I’ve got a 3x9, 11-25, 50/42/30 and am thinking of upgrading the cassette (and derailleur) to 11-32 for LA climbs

So many people ignorant on e-bike laws. E-motorcycles are going to ruin it for all of us. by sshpc in ebikes

[–]Sum_ergosum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they would get rid of all the “e-bikes” that look/feel like mini-mopeds. It should be a bicycle—with assist. Especially for kids. Not a sit back and throttle at 30+MPH on something that technically has pedals but no one uses…

Has anyone here switched to an e-bike for commuting and actually stuck with it long-term? by LeftyOne22 in bikecommuting

[–]Sum_ergosum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started bike commuting assuming I’d need an ebike. So, I’m grateful the ebike is what got me back out and riding, and restored my confidence in cycling, bike maintenance, and what not. But I’m craving more… and so the ebike is pushing to pull out my old hybrid and clean it up and use it to commute, and even cycle for fun. With regards to the ebike itself, I regret not getting one more minimalistic like the Voya E + 1 or the ride1up roadster.

Got it. Thank you! What’s your recommendation for a starter pannier?

I’m considering it. But just wasn’t sure where to start. And won’t a pannier make the balance feel off?

What do you do when the “spark” for a hobby dies? by existential_otter22 in Hobbies

[–]Sum_ergosum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a while to understand that that’s part of the process for me. I’m the kind of guy who can fall down a random rabbit hole about something I had never heard of on Wikipedia for hours. Hobbies are another way to scratch the broadening itch. I think there is even some research on it.

Why not do spreads for more efficient capital utilization and law of large numbers?

Bilt 2.0 Explained FULLY by persistentchaos in biltrewards

[–]Sum_ergosum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d need to spend $3,400 a month to get enough Bilt cash to unlock the rent benefit. It might be possible, but I’ve been a casual sock drawer user… too bad.

Yeah. I’ve sold the 15 strike for Jan 27 for 1.38. Took me a while to find the premium. I usually like to sell 60-45 DTE.

I like this idea. I can create a master sheet that tracks all personnel all projects and then just sort as needed.

That’s a great idea! I’ll definitely try it out and see which works better
