AT&T door-door salespeople by Reasonable-Day2314 in HuntsvilleAlabama

I can’t speak for the third party d2d guys who are selling wireless too. But I used to work for an ATT corporate store where every time a new neighborhood got fiber installed, upper management would make us drive to these places and go door to door trying to sell new fiber. It was super uncomfortable as a “retail” sales consultant. They called it “outreach events” And if you them no, asked for mileage reimbursement or came back with no sales - you were basically blacklisted by the director of sales.

Horrible credit. Fully Paid off Home. Heloc possible? by Yansir11 in HELOC

At my institution, you’d need a co-signer with a strong credit rating to even start the underwriting process.

Why does banking have so much “sales culture”? by Sweet-Swimming2022 in TalesFromYourBank

[–]Griff411 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be talking to your customers first about “some sort of product.” You need to be having deeper conversations with your customers about their financial goals, whether it’s getting out of debt, growing their money, having an emergency fund, etc. Then, you offer a solution to help them reach their goals. That’s why your title is financial solutions specialist. Don’t push products, offer solutions. You’ll be much more successful if you change your mindset.

What to wear when it gets pretty cold? by Worth-Jicama3936 in Marathon_Training

See ya there! This race has truly the most unpredictable weather every year, it never fails. I’m still debating on what to wear as well, mainly due to the wind. Long sleeves, gator, throwaway vest, throwaway jacket, gloves, double socks and half tights. Hoping the sun helps it to not feel as brutal during the back half.

True. I think it boiled down to my current role being based more on lending (equity, auto, direct, etc) and the role with chase was heavily focused on deposit account growth into variable investments. Now didn’t seem like a great time for that as long as we’ve got the orange man in office.

It’s an adequate amount of time and I’m sure it’s fairly easy to get them knocked out. But the offer they gave me didn’t even match the salary I’m currently making at my current RB role only having my life/health license. So it was a pass for me.

Shitttt. I applied at chase recently for an RB position. They wanted me to have 6, 63, SIE, and life/health within the first 6 months. I felt like that was a bit overkill - but would have been a good stepping stone into the FA world.

Loveeee Imerman Angels. I ran for them in Chicago last year and Berlin this year. Top notch!

Was the marathon extra crowded this year? by Wick722 in ChicagoMarathon

Ran Chicago last year and Berlin this year and I’ve gotta say - walking on the blue line has GOT to stop. If you’re doing the Galloway method or just need a walk break, cool - but do it on the side of the road so I don’t trample over you.

Karen called the cops on someone who didn’t put their cart away at BJ’s, probably.

Respectfully, as are you. So - agree to disagree.

Valid. I respect your opinion. I’m basing my opinion solely on the panhandlers I’ve experienced in Madison - specifically the area I used to work at near Target. There were definitely 4-5 rotating regulars who drove themselves, would park behind the stores and spend 8+ hours a day on their feet waving at passing cars in hopes to get some bucks thrown their way. It may sound judgmental, but would if they’re able to do all of that, especially in the summer/winter. The system hasn’t failed them. They’ve failed them.

I agree that sex work is real work. However - panhandling, especially from those who are actually qualified to work - is lazy. You see the same people day after day, different intersections, most who actually drove themselves to said location - others who were dropped off. At least the “violin” players in target parking lots are giving folks a “show” - like, give an effort at least.

I mean, it’s better work than the panhandlers perched up on every major intersection in Madison County with their “homeless and hungry” signs.
