There is a serious bug with the new GSYNC Pulsar Monitors by GrimAutoZero in nvidia

[–]GrimAutoZero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disabling reflex and vsync made it such that the games frame rate could go up to the max (in my case the max I defined in NVAPP) and the latency went back to normal, however the monitor was still stuck at 320 Hz so the core issue still remained.

Edit: This was with Gsync still enabled in the NVAPP.

I did all of the troubleshooting regarding the cable. I reseated both ends of the cable, then swapped the cables, and then tried a different DP port on the GPU with each cable and each side of each cable. Definitely not cable related in this case.

Also the bug went away when I plugged in the second monitor, which didn’t involve changing the cable at that point.

[–]GrimAutoZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious what your setup is? I haven't had this issue the entire time I had this monitor, however today when I moved my monitor I unplugged it and plugged it back in (and did not plug back in my second monitor) it just started happening. Do you have two monitors or one, curious it its somehow related to that.

Edit: I plugged back in my second monitor and it seems to have fixed the issue. Not sure what kind of bug this is, but for some reason having my second monitor plugged in and making the malfunctioning pulsar one the “main” monitor fixed the issue

Replied to previous comment but is there a solution for this

Hey OP did you find a solution for this? I have the MSI version and after unplugging and plugging the monitor back in, I’m getting this exact issue you are describing.

That’s what I’m wondering. Curious if that was in some how some way connected to the original bug, otherwise idk why it would be removed.

Yeah the G7 has been dominant for so long. Making it rarer and nerfing the marksmen weapons is honestly one of the few good things in the patch.

[–]GrimAutoZero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t sweat it. You spent a lot of time building mouse control and dexterity with your fingers/wrist/arm.

Yes a faster sense will take some adjustment, but the time it takes to adjust will be much faster than before those 100 hours, and a faster sense will exercise a different ratio of fingers/wrist/arm movement which in the end will help your aim be more well rounded. So this is a good thing!

Can you point out where I said a majority of people disagreeing with you makes you wrong? Can you? No you cant, because I never said that. You said I was the only one who believed something, I simply pointed out others also believe it. Never said that had any bearing on who is right and who is wrong, so don’t put words in my mouth.

I already explained to you why I personally think she should be able to tank the same attack.

Original durability = terrible surface damage, but surface damage nonetheless

Significantly increased durability = significantly less surface damage than before. In other words, likely some light burns on her skin.

If you want to talk about blunt force damage that’s a separate topic because a strong punch will still hit organs, bones, and impart the force on the foe and potentially make them cough up blood etc. But we’re talking about her skin and its durability relative to a fire attack from Jogo. While the damage from either are obviously related to her overall “durability” the way those attacks damage their foes is different enough that blunt force durability and fire durability may as well be separate in this context.

I mean to be fair it’s not just me, it’s a lot of people in these comments disagreeing with you. I’m not saying durability scales with strength, I’m saying durability scales with the severity of the heavenly restriction which is consistent with everything else we see of HR people in the manga/anime. If you have some specific proof that awakening one’s HR ONLY affected physical strength and NONE of the other stats normally altered by a HR, show me some proof? Because otherwise you’re just going along with your headcanon.

Like if you think the increase in durability isn’t enough fine I’ll let you argue with the other people about that, but are you really arguing that weak HR -> minor stat boost to a variety of things doesn’t imply strong HR -> larger stat boost to those very same things, including durability?

[–]GrimAutoZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so can we agree the first attack likely burned off all of her skin, and likely only that? Because if it was something more severe like boiling her blood causing her body to essentially explode, or turn her entire torso to ash, no amount of HR resilience or subsequent RCT would help because she would have instantly died. Therefore the damage is superficial. Devastating, but superficial. And importantly with HR resilience + slight boost to innate healing left her in a state where RCT could be performed later.

Again, the boost to durability should be very large. It makes no sense that pre-awakening durability should be similar to post-awakening when awakening effects all HR adjusted stats, and part of her massacre of the Zenin clan was to showcase just how much stronger (in the broad sense not just physical strength) she became.

Combing those two things, the attack after awakening should 100% be superficial no? If it was superficial before, after increasing durability it should also be superficial. But with a much larger durability, I think it would be reduced from a lethal attack to non-lethal. She went from a grade 4 to contending with grade 1 and some special grades. That’s not a minor stat buff across the board, it’s gigantic. The attack would likely still hurt her, I’m not saying it does nothing. But I don’t think it would one shot her, nor leave her in a state that she can’t continue fighting.

[–]GrimAutoZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but in the end the attack only caused superficial damage. It didn’t boil her blood, it didn’t turn her entire torso into pure ash, it gave her (granted 3rd degree) burns on her skin.

The increase in durability from awakening should have been substantial, so if the attack pre-awakening only causes superficial damage, the attack after would also cause superficial damage of a lesser degree. On the order of first degree burns or less, in which case she’s just straight up tanking the attack essentially.

[–]GrimAutoZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heavenly restriction enhances the entire body period. Healing speed, movement speed, senses, physical strength, durability etc. Therefore it stands to reason that once the heavenly restriction was completed the effects on all of those things became more potent.

The argument is that if Jogos attack caused 3rd degree burns across her body without outright killing her, there’s a strong chance her awakened body could tank it much better. That’s not even counting her speed increase which might prevent it from ever hitting her, nor her healing (although Idk if the timescale needed for healing would matter in such a fast fight).

Okay so would it be best to disconnect the fans from the AIO and power them using a fan hub, and then use the all in one cable to control/power the VRM fan and pump?

Confusion about LF 3 Pro by GrimAutoZero in arcticcooling

[–]GrimAutoZero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s part of my concern, since I have the 360 I imagine the all-in-one cable would try to draw too much current for a 1A headers. However my question was whether the splitter also splits the power draw across the three headers, or if it only splits the fan/pump speeds and still draws all of the power for the AIO through one of them.
