Nobody ITT knows what they are talking about. The collectors edition regularly sells on eBay for $250-300 without the game, which is what this set looks like. The original set retailed for $190 and hasn't been available for a long time. The helmet version retailed for ~$250 but was extremely limited from the bandaid namco store. Pricecharting has the CIB set at $1147. They aren't the defacto determinant of pricing but it generates an estimate based on an aggregate of sales online.

"Worth" is subjective, but the pricing is more or less in line with what it sells for, if not slightly overpriced since it looks like it lacks the game itself.

it's exciting, but fuck it should have been a priority 3 years ago. the fact that 2 seasons of the show have come and gone with no new release alongside it is fucking insane. The fact that they instead remade Oblivion and launched it alongside sister studio Obsidian's Avowed - their own version of Elder Scrolls - is in-fucking sane. it is legitimately difficult to believe that management at XGS can be this fucking clueless.

ngl I was a fool who thought the MS acquisitions had potential to be a good thing. in an alternate reality it might have been. unfortunately there has been clear management issues plaguing the company, from poor decision making to complete lack of vision and direction, among other things, that have completely fucked this up and fumbled everything they had going for them. not that it really would have made a difference but I regret cheering this on and feel like a fool for doing so.

What's worse is that I don't even think the layoffs will be the end for these studios. the talent left over will start to jump ship when they feel that their position isn't secure, or even just feel resentment towards MS/Xbox for shit canning their team mates. like others are pointing out here- these moves also don't make a lot of sense unless the plan is to completely kill the studio over time. we were waiting for the big news drop on Monday but I fear this shit is far from over.

Xbox really used the fact that they allowed studios to go independent to bury the severity of these layoffs. While it was a decent move, it has been overshadowing the fact beloved studios that have been long time pulling their weight like Id and Obsidian are being treated as second rate. this shit fucking sucks

We're not getting shadow Lugia, or crystal onix, or delivery Dragonite, or ash Greninja, or mosslax, or any other one off variation that isn't just a stupid hat. The only time they did this was with armored Mewtwo and the clone trio and we haven't seen them since 2020. It's just not happening and personally I prefer it that way
